(Sorry.

Take a left at the berry bush, Hugos. Take a right at the fifteenth Evergreen Tree. You have arrived at your destination.)

As Hugos wandered further away from the camp, an odd sound grew louder and louder; it sounded like the buzz of electricity mixed with the hum of magic curling around fingers.

A clearing opened up for Hugos; Everett was in the center, wearing its strange goggles once more. However, this time it was holding an empty, palm-sized bell jar and a blue rod, pointing the rod in a seemingly random direction. It gave a start, as the sound Hugos made as he entered startled it, and pointed the rod at Hugos. After realizing who it was, it lowered the rod and pointed it at a nearby evergreen tree. After a few seconds of staying still like this, it pointed the rod at the bell jar and closed it.

(Forgetful, aren't I.)

Everett looked and Hugos, and reached into his satchel, pulling out another sheet of papyrus, this one quite yellowed and worn down. He didn't write on it, however, as there were words already written on it in loopy writing.

Did You Need Me?

(Why do I keep forgetting.)

Everett just stared at Hugos with a blank look, then gave a start. Based on that reaction, he has completely forgotten about the others at camp and was too busy doing whatever he was doing with the jar and rod. He put the wand and jar away into his satchel and looked at Huggos, waiting for a reaction.
