(If you've forgotten, Everett cannot enter property that is owned by another being unless either the owner of the property invites/forces them in, or if the entrance to it is left exposed and open. The second option is waived if the property has no sort of gate or of the like.)

(It, Silent. It. Also, it can't really talk, foriegn tongue or not, but it can make noises. Prefers not to, but it can. Lets see what I can do.)

The creature knew for a fact that it was not alone. That was both a comfort and a nuisance. T'was comforting to know that it is not alone in this treacherous world, but it also meant that it can't trespass this certain plot of land. Taking the stained goggles off, it looked towards what it hopes is the center. It needs to make noises. Its options right now is to either use a tool or 'talk' to them. Talking might definitely catch their attention, but the sounds of horrible screeching isn't exactly the best introduction to a possible ally.

It reaches into the satchel once more, and pulled out what appears to be a pair of bent rods. These were supposed to be meant for dowsing, but they will have to suffice.

Raising the metal over each other, it struck the pair of rods together. The clang of metal on metal was nullified by the creature grasping it, but it was loud enough.

The creature didn't respond to the person in front of it at first. Instead, it reached into its pack, replacing the rods, and pulled out a small box, a predictable purple taupe. It fumbled with it a little bit, and lifted the top of it off. The contents of the box wasn't particularily exciting; it was filled with small sheets of papyrus. Some of the sheets seem worn out and rugged, while others are crisp, the edges still holding their shape. Nevertheless, the creature fumbled between the sheets, stopping curiously on one, then continued sifting between the cards. At last, it finally pulled out a sheet. It revealed the crisp, clean sheet to the man in front of him. Words written in ink were on the card.

I MEAN NO HARM.

The creature gave a curt nod in answer to Lewis' question, putting the papyrus card away into its box. Putting the box away, it pulled out the goggles again, and put it on. Afterwards, it stood up and pointed at the cobalt colored rod that lay close to its feet, then pointed at its chest, trying to convey that it belonged to him.
