Parrotoss
I suggest specialties foods that manage body temperature would add some interesting variety to the game. Right now, avoiding overheating in the summer can be a pain when ice is low, so how about adding slushies as a crockpot recipe that works three times as good ice. It would take rocks, berries, and one ice to craft. Alternatively, a slushie could have the power of a single ice cube, but would have multiple uses, or "servings." The next special food item would be a red hot chilli pepper that randomly generate in desert biomes and works to increase body temperature. It could be use in crockpot recipes as a veggie to create an alternative spicy version of a food, or it could simply have multiple uses.To make things more "punny," when a pepper is placed in an ice box, it will eventually turn into a "chilly pepper" which would work like a slushie, but would melt quick and if left to do so, would turn into back into a spicy pepper. Peppers could also be used to craft a new weapon: pepper spray, which would act like a grenade and create a cloud of stingy dust when thrown--damaging any targets within the cloud, including the player--maybe cause random fires or something?Perhaps something similar to the ice flinger could be considered, as well. Peppers could also be farmed when specialty seeds are gained. Anyway, it may seem unnecessary, but it would certainly add an interesting twist and some needed diversity to the game. F3RR1S
Chilly Peppers and Slusheats Do the exact opposite of what you think they should do. debugman18
Hmm. Literal ghost peppers would be interesting. Ooh, and jolokia salsa is amazing, so that'd make a good crockpot recipe. Parrotoss
Chilly Peppers and SlusheatsDo the exact opposite of what you think they should do.That would certainly be amusing, but it could cause complications as to were the peppers would grow.Maybe a spicy version of a slushie can be made just by adding a pepper to it.
