Soopakoopa
Last night I dreamed that a gentleman with a colossal head wasforce-feeding farm animals slimy, rotten purple meat and stale carrotsuntil they went wild, then, after filling his pockets with their poop (it waseverywhere), he murdered one of them and used its leg to beat a familyof spiders to death. it was a terrible night. ARamblingSpider
Shouldn't this be in Off-topic? Because I never recall this in Don't Starve. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/32775-horrible-nightmare/#findComment-430580 Share on other sites

jbeetle
Shouldn't this be in Off-topic? Because I never recall this in Don't Starve. It has everything to do with Don't Starve, yet I still agree. Zalyn
Shouldn't this be in Off-topic? Because I never recall this in Don't Starve. It seems to be a bit vague what the cut-off is here. It's not just "it has to be about Don't Starve," but it has to be specifically about gameplay of DS? I see art, jokes, and discussions about external fandoms and pairings and such, but those don't get called out as OT (I personally enjoy these discussions and love the art). The off-topic forum has no discussion about DS from what I've seen, and in other forums I've been in, "off-topic" meant that it had nothing to do with the particular topic (and so it is a faux pas to post in the OT forum about something that is actually relevant to a topic for which there is a forum). I don't see a "Don't Starve banter" forum, for example, which is where this and other similar posts would fit. If this is such an important line to police, then perhaps there should be more clear guidelines here that it's not just that a post has to do with Don't Starve, but that it has to only concern the activity of actually playing the game itself (and of course nothing outside it). No jokes, no observations, no speculation on pairings, and very logically following, no personal feelings that arise when the game is played (how is this different from talking about a dream, for example?). I say this as a new person who really enjoys the generally positive feel of these forums; it's just that these issues seem to come up, and they're rather alienating to new people who aren't popular here and so who aren't socially permitted to make comments that aren't specifically gameplay related. That's like saying"you have a very interesting uninsteresting potted gopher". ...yes it's off topic.(or IS it?) No it isn't, because it's still about Don't Starve. (oorr IISS iitt??)
