Night time suggestion and some others

Though I like the fact the in the middle of the night you can get eaten by a grue (yay Zork reference)

I think i could be scarier for example when the Player gets too close to the edge of the light have a shadowy hand take a swipe at him/her or something to that effect making the darkness seem more hostile!

You also can expand on this to a whack-a-mole game of smacking the hands away while fueling the fire so the night time wont be as boring

I also think it would be interesting if there was a bear....like....creature that dosent like fires and tries to put them out XD.

Bears have been suggested by many people (me included). I don't remember ever seeing it suggested that they hate fires though... So, yes, I'll agree thats pretty neat too!

In every thread that mentions a bear someone says "only you can prevent forest fires", every time.

i definately like the idea of having a sort of 'mini-game' during the nigh to keep you entertained, or threatened. Either way it would be better than standing around waiting for dawn.

The shadow hand putting out the fire would freak me out the first time it happened.

I also think the bear that's often suggested putting out fires is a cool idea. Cool as in there won't be a fire, and then you'll die.
