Just started a new world and found 7 clumped in the graveyard and 6 clumped in the tallbird/rock region. They must love me ._. Joyousterror Posted December 4, 2012 Share Posted December 4, 2012 I got bridgeless as well and have 9 clumped up together Either use wolfgang because he 1-hits the spiders. Or just pigmen down the waves. You can also use a torch to quickly defeat the spiders. (Don't burn nests you won't get eggs.) Then I realizedI would work during the day and take them out one by one.Could take out about a 2-3 nests a day. It's a bit time (and Weapon durability) consuming, but if you attack a spider nest a single time, during daytime (NOT dusk), 4 Spiders will pop out. Kite and kill them, then repeat. After 2-3 "waves" of spiders the nest will "run dry" and you can take it down. This is actually a great way to stockpile Silk for Nets and Traps and Hats, and Monster Meat for Crock Pot cooking (Stuffed Eggplant!) and Research Points (12 Points per Cooked Monster Meat).Just be sure to stop before Dusk, or the Spiders will start coming out of all the nearby nests and swarming you whenever you kill any individual Spider. NippleKing Posted December 4, 2012 Share Posted December 4, 2012 I've had,i think,12 maybe? it was around a rare spawn of 10-12 graveyards which i was happy to rob every single one of them.I also had beefalo, pigs and a swamp.It was a nice map but then i got bored of it.
