jake264
I started playing a few months before the caves. Really enjoyed the game, played a lot, got a bit burnt out around the time the caves came in. The caves just don't interest me (though I'm sure I'll head in shortly). Back than, I made my first foray in and just lost interest in the game altogether for a while. Came back a couple weeks ago, still fun, but wow, so unstable now, so many crashes. Please stop adding things and just make the game stable. (blah blah blah make a bug report for crashes, yeah of course I will.) My first couple of attempts at new games were ruined by crashes and inexplicable bee/fly buzzin noises with no source (already reported). I'm doing well on my latest game but yup, you guessed it, just crashed. stability>new content, it's pretty simple. I love this game and eagerly recommended it to a friend back then, now, I don't think I would due to the instability. Let me also add that the game ran very smoothly previous to the caves but now, at times, is a bit of a slideshow. My system is a few years old, so it's time for a new one, but still... Neosaurus
I think the game's as stable as it's every been. Only had 1 random crash in the past 6 months... Wilbur
http://forums.kleientertainment.com/index.php?/topic/26119-an-update-on-don’t-starve/You need to link that often. Why do people not browse around and make a easy search before postin'? jeez. gnarlytreeman
i would also like a lighter weight version of the game, there is really no reason for this type of game to burn the cpu power it does Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/28618-please-stop-adding-things-and-make-the-game-stable/#findComment-340313 Share on other sites
Nebulous
i would also like a lighter weight version of the game, there is really no reason for this type of game to burn the cpu power it does It used to be a lot worse than this. But yeah I still worry about sudden shutdowns due to CPU overheat. It doesn't happen often (3 times per two hours has dropped to once in a while) but it's not something you forget. the truthseeker
I get system stutters sometimes so the releases have ramped up CPU tasking. And I suspect the game load caused a partial corruption making it really slow (and a third party-nothing to do with the game-system reimage caused a clean install requirement which then made the game run a lot smoother, so I am wondering if there is a game memory leak that is possible?)
