Viconaut
Hey guys, after losing my tree/berry/grass/twig farm to a single rogue lightning strike i invested in a lightning rod for the camp. i was wondering if its placement matters much as far as flammible objects goes. i mean when lightning strikes the rod can it still set things on fire that are close to the rod itself? my new grass patch comes right up to the rod and i just want to be sure i cant lose the field again should lightning hit the rod as it should. thanks for youre time -vico Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/28290-question-about-the-lightning-rod/ Share on other sites

Wilbur
The rod won't set other things on fire and it will protect quite a big area. EDIT: Ninja'd by @TeoSS69 An additional benefit if you play WX-78 (and don't have the umbrella or don't have it out,) is that lightning won't strike you draining your sanity. Of course if you use this to regen health in the rain, you have been warned and then stay two+ screen lengths away. Cynical Cynicist
I had one instance where the lightning rod was just out of my peripheral view, which was followed by lighting hitting and burning down my entire grass/twig farm. I just place them frequently enough so that there's always one in my view within the base.
