Steffi
Hi, When in the dark, enemies and my ninja all appear as roughly man-shaped black blocky figures. I managed to get a screenshot by forcing the program out of full screen, and I've attached the log file after running ./ninja-bin64 -enablelog. I tried running the program chosing different profiles, as suggested in another post, but had no luck. "glsl120" was the best which gave blocks; "glsl" worked fine but didn't fix the problem; "nv4" gave a black screen; "arb1" had white blocks instead of text and crashed when I tried to enter the game. I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit with Ivy bridge integrated graphics (Intel HD Graphics 4000). The game is the stand-alone version (not steam). Everything runs fine execpt this one issue. Great game by the way! Any suggestions for trying to fix the problem? Or any more information I can provide? Thanks, Steffirendering.log
Developer Wade Posted September 16, 2013 Developer Share Posted September 16, 2013 I'll pass the information along to the programmers to take a look at. We're making some tweaks to Intel chip rendering, and are hoping to release a new version to Humble later today or tomorrow. Hopefully this will address your issue. Tuomas
You seem to have a fairly old Mesa driver, so you should try updating it. That probably requires updating your Ubuntu installation to a newer version too, though.
Steffi
Hmm, good to know. I think I'll wait and see if their fix addresses the issue before I go through a major upgrade, though.
