joeboy8440
I was many days in and i was quite proud of my progress. I had a nice setup, then i needed food since i was low. I went and attacked a beefalo with my spear, then they all came charging. i ran till i had just one left, then i attacked him with my spear MANY times. Yet it seemed to do no damage, then he killed me and i got a game over.
Nickdy
Beefalos are meant to be strong, and i would advice possibly leading a single beefalo away from the pack and killing him with a spear. Oh and they have signifigently more health than most other animals so it may take 5-6 hits

Hallorann
Buffaloes were revered by the native Americans. They were strong beasts. Not like cows that just sit there while you take them behind a barn and
cptCalavera
Sometimes there is a bug that makes it so you actually dont hit the thing you are hitting. This can happen when you are standing behind the object/animal in question.
Iatemybeardhair
What you want to do is bait its attack. Walk in range then quickly back out of its range while it attacks. It will miss you, and then you can go in and stab it 3 times with your spear, then repeat. Extremely low risk of getting hit. That also works for just about everything in game. MagmaKnight
If your gonna fight a beefalo wear a log suit attack one run till the rest leave then turn around and start attacking the beefalo it will get about 2 attacks on you that the log suit should be able to suck up keep doing that until it gets dead and then claim your loot!!! Dr.Seezme
In all honesty, if you were killed by a provoked attack, then this is all your fault (at least technically). If you're looking to do better in combat against them, then I suggest using a logsuit to avoid being hurtstunned in combat; I can't really agree with making them weaker on account of a dangerous choice of food sources. Miss Andry
No. Game is easy enough as it is and killing them is easy. If you do it right, you can kill them without even taking a single hit. Considering how much food beefalo will give you, they should be hard to kill. If anything, they should be harder to kill.
