Dreadstone used to be a really obnoxious resource to get lots of, but thanks to the addition of Ripple, you can now get up to 60 dreadstone from one kill. This was a really nice addition, especially with how expensive dreadstone pillars are.

Scrap is similar to dreadstone in the sense that its a resource that is a bit of a pain to get, however unlike dreadstone, you need it in order to fight Celestial Champion and Warbot, and a lot of it. The only way to really farm scrap is to sit around the scrappy werepig forever and let him throw scrap at you. Not only is this really boring, but the amount of scrap you get isn't even that good, since the scrap piles only have a chance to actually contain scrap.

That all being said, an enemy similar to the mega blight that dropped a bunch of scrap would be a much appreciated addition to the game for long term worlds, or any world that wants to fight CC and Warbot + Scion a bunch.

I think farm scrap from Scrappy Werepig is a better gameplay than Mega Blight.

Furthermore, the materials source need to be different, killing shoudn't become the always best option.

I just want some way of getting large amounts of scrap that isn't reliant on the werepig throwing junk piles that only have scrap around 12% of the time.

scrap is worthless anyway what u gonna use it on , the warbes armor thats literally weaker than the dreadstone armor ? and u only get it after rifts

1) Warbis armor (not the helmet) is actually kind of good: it gives 85% protection and 5 planar defense isn't great, but it also gives you a 30% speed boost, 10% more than a magi. which doesn't provide any protection. It also makes terramites bounce off you 50% of the time since it counts as hard armor, so it's really good for the warbot and scion boss fights.

2) You need 8 scrap (9 post scion) to re-fight celestial champion, and 21 scrap to re-fight warbot + scion. If you want to fight these guys a lot, you need a lot of scrap.

this, more characters need accessibility to some form of renewable scrap besides winona. the junkyard rng is too slow, and defeating scrapyard pig only gives 4

Breaking fence gives bunch of scrap, and it constantly regenerates

how do you need 9 scrap for CC pre scion?

You don't, you need 8 scrap for CC before you defeat Scion. After you kill Scion, you need to craft a static restrainer yourself, since Wagstaff isn't around anymore in the moonstorm events, and this costs 1 scrap on top of the 8 you need for the incomplete experiment.

can't you just break the junkyard fences that keep respawning?

Fences only drop scrap 25% of the time, and they only appear when abandoned junk respawn in the junk yard. This means that if scrappy werepig is alive, the fences wont respawn, since the abandoned junk spawns randomly in the world, meaning they're not an option if you keep the main scrap farming method alive.

This honestly should be changed, idk why the junk doesn't spawn in the scrapyard just cus the pig is alive. It's really annoying post-scion where you don't have Wagstaff to try and get an idea of where its spawned (and even when you do have Wagstaff, he isn't a great indicator of where it actually is, from my experience at least).

50% more* (nerd emoji)

Wagstaff is a scaredy cat
and besides its not hard to find the abandoned scrap that spawns around the map

Something more interesting than hammering scrap fences would be nice. I get really tired of it. And then having tons of twigs afterward. Also gotta keep the scrapyard clear so everything respawns correctly. I mean yeah, scrappy werepig can yield a decent amount of scrap, but he is a huge pain to fight and I'm not doing it repeatedly when I can safely hammer fences. I use pre-lunar version once pre-rift to get an abundance so I can use tingles without soft locking myself out of the celestial champion fight but that's it. Once he gets the lunar weapon it becomes an even more difficult fight and not worth it over simply waiting for scrap fences to regenerate. Which is a really unsatisfying way of getting resources.

two ideas:
- let me carry a Sentrypede Husk upstairs, somehow electrify/possess it, to create the Ripple counterpart that gives scrap
- surely there's scrap in the Ocean, perhaps collecting in certain specific areas like the Shallow Ocean nearest to Pearl's Island or nearest to the Junkyard? maybe Marotters can collect scrap from the ocean for us
