Looking at the 2026 roadmap, we can roughly predict who's next. There are only two characters on it without a skill tree: Maxwell and Webber. Since the original post mentioned a desire to wrap up the Shadow story arc this summer, and Maxwell is the most connected to it among the playable characters, I think he was added specifically to highlight the lore. As for Webber, I can't see him being tied to anything other than his own skill tree. However, there’s one unusual detail: in the roadmap art, Webber has three pairs of legs on his head, even though he has always had only two in every official artwork before. The roadmap post was made a long time ago, and even though I reported it on the bug tracker, there have been no changes to the drawing or comments from the developers. This leads me to believe it’s an intentional clue related to his skill tree. I’m really hoping for a powerful skill tree for Webber - one that goes down in history and marks a renaissance not just for Webber gameplay, but for the game as a whole. He is an incredibly interesting character even now, and he truly deserves a great skill tree. With how much creativity the books provide in her kit now, God only knows what the possibilities will be once her tree is released. I just worry it'll be like last time during the character refreshes and she'll be the 2nd to last character to receive one, either because Klei sees her as pretty strong or too boring that they'll hold it off for a while with most not caring that much. As much as I like playing as Mrs. Wicked Buttocks, I feel like they're not nearly as popular as some of the other characters. IMO she doesn't even need a skill tree, she just needs to be the only person to use her own (and only) abilities.
