Sofy Happy
Before the Chessmaster Circuit was added, I always thought the three categories followed a clear rule: Alpha focuses on basic stat boosts Beta covers passive utility functions Gamma is reserved for active abilities However, the Chessmaster Circuit mainly provides passive effects — such as raising the friendly Clockwork limit, fully removing Clockwork aggression, and no-stun taming. Only the act of recruiting Clockworks requires manual activation. If we define Gamma Circuits by whether they need manual triggering, both the Spatializer Circuit and Rangebooster Circuit fully qualify: The Spatializer Circuit requires you to open your inventory and place items actively. The Rangebooster Circuit extends drone range and W.A.R.B.I.S. equipment coverage, which demands players to manually utilize relevant items; even zooming out the camera counts as an active action. Moving these two circuits into Gamma is a perfect way to enrich its content. Currently the quantity is extremely unbalanced: Alpha has 7 circuits, Beta has 11, while Gamma only has 5. After the adjustment, the count will become 7 Alpha, 9 Beta, and 7 Gamma, reaching a more reasonable balance. I also believe the Chessmaster Circuit is far too powerful for a 1-slot option and should be adjusted to cost 2 slots. With these two small utility circuits relocated to Gamma, we can naturally rework Chessmaster Circuit into a 2-slot design. This change would perfectly fix the lack of diverse Gamma build combinations, solving multiple balance problems at once. hhhhddh
Agree to move range booster and Spatializer Circuit to gamma. Actually I start to think if they make these two as beta because of balance issue...just a thought though. Random Guy000
I don't think anyone would mind if betas had no single-slot circuits. Beta circuits are already the most fun part of playing WX, anyway. Giving some more options to gamma would be great Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/171159-what-is-the-classification-standard-for-%CE%B2-and-%CE%B3should-the-rangebooster-and-spatializer-circuit-be-moved-to-%CE%B3/#findComment-1864336 Share on other sites

Beta would still have that, and it's already more popular as a 1 slot filler than rangebooster and spatializer. I really like the OPs idea! tHe_silent_H
And how would this change interact with warm standby since spatilizer would no longer be a beta circuit, and to make it work with it would be inconsistent and contrary to the tooltip(beta circuits only) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/171159-what-is-the-classification-standard-for-%CE%B2-and-%CE%B3should-the-rangebooster-and-spatializer-circuit-be-moved-to-%CE%B3/#findComment-1864351 Share on other sites

Spatializer sounds great. Really OP sounding. But then I found myself asking, "what would I actually use this for?" Picking up logs, mostly. Spatializer gets to compete with speed, light, temperature control, shock circuit, night vision in the beta category. I think it would fit gamma better. 1 minute ago, tHe_silent_H said: And how would this change interact with warm standby since spatilizer would no longer be a beta circuit, and to make it work with it would be inconsistent and contrary to the tooltip(beta circuits only) What? 2 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/171159-what-is-the-classification-standard-for-%CE%B2-and-%CE%B3should-the-rangebooster-and-spatializer-circuit-be-moved-to-%CE%B3/#findComment-1864353 Share on other sites

Curly Bill
It's because Gamma is not just active abilities, it's for inter-active abilities. Eating rot for nutribrick is more of a new interaction you have to make. Blocking or sonic invoking is an active ability, but also an interaction on yourself you can make. Chessmaster follows this interaction focus, as you have to still engage and interact with clockworks. Beta is more of passive effects without the player's input or requirement of something to trigger it to activate. 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/171159-what-is-the-classification-standard-for-%CE%B2-and-%CE%B3should-the-rangebooster-and-spatializer-circuit-be-moved-to-%CE%B3/#findComment-1864590 Share on other sites
