since one of the circuits require the super-rare (10% but due to how boring killing slurtles is, i consider it super-rare), still low-res, suprisingly underused shelmet, why not implement the slurtle salt death that has been in the game files for some time now?

it seems like it would have a higher chance of preserving the shell of the slurtle since, y'know, it just kinda shrivels up and dies, so now would be the perfect time to do it!

Using a morning star temporarily to stun them out of their shell works pretty good too.

In my experience a torch, watering can, hambat and a Morningstar speeds this along a lot.

But I would love for the salt option, provided this kills them in a way similar to normally and not similar to lighting them on fire since you get nothing when that happens. (well aside from a laugh and a potential earth quake)

if one salt per helmet seems too much make it so the snurtle has to eat more salt in order for this to happen

I know salt is rich in minerals and slurtles/snurtles love minerals but Idk, I don't think they would willingly eat it if it melts them alive. I feel like DST is really lacking in animal cruelty these few updates so they should just make it so we can apply it on them via right click.

Doesn't kill them though. Maybe it's like crack to them.

Maybe we can incorporate one of these bad boy grit Dusters

Grit Duster

That's a great idea but maybe it'd make it too cheap.

Animals are animals, like us. They're not perfect machines. Them dying by trying to eat something they don't recognize is the most natural thing ever.

This isn't poison tho, it's salt. Why would it eat more than one salt if the first one is burning/melting it and is painful. If it's realism we're after this won't do.

eh... the drop chance of the helmet isn't really changing it's still 10%.

Also you can't even get the combiner until you give her the cracked pearl, it would be so late in the game, and by that point the shellmet may have worn out its usefulness in comparison to other armors.

At this point in my farming experiments, and in an attempt of a normal couple of runs, it would just be better for it to have the recipe come from a snurtle shell rather than a slurtle shell.

At the moment the block circuit seems like it could be cool but in practice it has some issues, certain actions or effects on Wx cause it to end prematurely such as armor breaking or the electrical shock from the zap circuits. (not to mention your armor still takes damage while doing this)
