To me most of thigs are renewable and replacible with ease so it makes me confused to see someone complains about gears / pig skin / eyebrella etc. However after some thought, I could say I personally will be dissapointed if my bone-helm and bone-armor would be stolen. Because these are hard to get (for me personally). Pruinae Posted March 25 Share Posted March 25 This only applies if I plan on making a megabase on the world: Beefalos, Killer Bees (the Bee Queen ones can break, I mean the ones in their biome), alive Mandrakes, and Marotters. I wouldn't worry so much about them if Klei made them renewable, like they did for Volt Goats. If I am playing with a lot of other people and plan on going long term: the first ~8 green gems, and dreadstone (to make dreadstone armor for everyone so I can pretend I am protecting them, but in reality I want infinite nightmare fuel); and the first Glommer till day ~34/35 (so everyone can get eyebrella quickly) If it's a public server, nothing above matters. Uh oh... Well, for me, just knowing getting more is possible is enough for me not to care too much about them going extinct. Of course, I will do what I can to keep the ones I do have alive and spawning, but it's not a source of anxiety. When megabasing, I usually anenemy pen my herds first year (and tp the ones that are keeping the spawn up to the lunar archipelago), so I only need to get more if I want to use them for decoration. Whenever I do a ruins rush in a public server i usually keep at least 1 star caller, decon staff, and a few crowns/a dreadstone helm to myself. I do drop a few crowns at base but they mostly end up being taken by base wilsons who waste them on bees. Kehvran Posted March 29 Share Posted March 29 (edited) I like to adopt different playstyles in servers, for example: If I'm playing with my bf - and solo - we like to create things to transform the survivor's lives, we build a lot of stuff, farms, safe spots, docks, personalized boats, arenas, roads. So I would say rock and log may be the rare resources in our gameplay because of the HUGE amount we use. If I'm playing with other people I expect chaos, like this playthrough with my bf, one friend of ours and his gf, imagine me trying to gather some rabbits in a pen for winter and then our friend's gf passing by with a riled Abigail or taking a little walk with her dead sister close to my bf's merms... good times... I would say our rare resources were silk and food, but mostly everything, it's difficult to manage when dogs are spawning in base.
