It's not difficult to dupe more tatters if you got the saddle as one said. It's not a character specific perk but green gems are common now enough after resets and with all the trees to get plenty more tatters.

Yes, I use that technique. The imbalance problem persists, however. I don't need any advanced resources to obtain Pure Brilliance or Brightshade Husk in large quantities. And it has been a QOL policy of the devs with each update to improve the ways to obtain Pure Brilliance. For this reason, I believe that the devs should give similar treatment to the shadow side (not equal treatment).

A simple parallel to the latest updates: obtain Pure Brilliance simply by mining its structures at the base and feeding birds afterward. Obtain Pure Horror by defeating Mega Blight in a very specific way.

I'll be honest, I forgot about green gem duping. Tatters are probably fine given the new trees plus the gem trees accumulated over time.

What's there to improve?

Lunar side has no alternate source of Brightshade Husks so why should shadow rifts get one for Tatters?

You can't compare Tatters to Brilliance because those resources aren't the exact equivalents.

It goes more like:

Infused Shards - Pure Horror (based on Wilsons transmutation options)

Pure Brilliance - Dreadstone (again based on Wilsons transmutes)

Spark Ark - Possessed Shadow Atrium

Brightshade Husks - Dark Tatters

Both resources are only obtainable by actively seeking out their source. It maybe seems to you like Tatters are much more rare because you don't go and get them and because Husks are like delivered to your door step for free.

Devs improved ways to gain pure horror (actual alternative to pb) as well. You got wilson skills, nwp (this one and wilson tree was added before rifts iirc) zombies, possesed chests, shrek, rasp, jitters, rictus, rift shadelings, infused lurking nightmare, centipede, geothermites and winona charlie side skills (tho wagstaff side is much better).

I didn't emphasize it enough in my post, but it really, really rains down. There's no reason to bother with the actual rift shadelings anymore.

I prefer this a lot to how pure brilliance is handled. "Oh, now you can also get it by mining infused glass and feeding it to 10 bird cages." At first I thought this comparison was a joke.

Wait this actually gave me idea. What if warly could feed grim galette to werepigs (or cave mutated variation, smaller nwp) and get poop + pure horror. And then that pure horror could be used for some spice or dish.

I don't know of anything with higher DPS than that. And all three of these resources for making this powerful bomb have become extremely easy to obtain.

A late-game concept for an item that was "rare."
And that doesn't exist for the Shadow Side.

Seems kind of silly. How many brightshade bombs do you need to kill typical bosses? Is that feasible at all?

It seems kind of silly to justify that the Void Repair Kit shouldn't receive the same treatment as the Brightshade Repair Kit. How many bosses can't you defeat with the Brightshade Sword? Understand the context of the answer before simply commenting.

And for those who are still learning to play, you don't need to use only brightshade bombs against a boss. Use this weapon in combination with other weapons against simply the most difficult bosses in this game: AFW and, especially, Scion.

Again, Pure Brilliance has nothing to do with getting Tatters.

You don't need to screenshot the wiki or show us how to farm it off of the new overpowered gestalt.

There is already the equivalent for the caves which are Pure Horror. The caves are full of the stuff.

It's not Klei's fault when you never go visit the caves to grab the mats you use up every day.

Just farm dark tatter like a normal person. Noone farm tatter killing rift these day.

Tall 1->Green Gem->Construction AmuletDeconstruction Staff+Normal= profit.

Word. It's so much easier to get green gems than tatters. Not only with boulderbough trees, but also sproutrock trees, ruins sesets, and a few bosses you keep killing anyway.

Edit: Now that I read it again, I guess it's exactly as difficult to get tatters, as it is to get green gems.

It's not like the resources that shadow side uses is that rare either. 7-10 tatters per kill, respawns commonly enough, green gems make it more common.

Only resource shadowside is most demanding of is dreadstone imo. Otherwise, I don't use enough tatters through to actually need a change.

Those brilliance updates are possibly a potential coming Wilson change for his alignment. Unless Klei stays consistent in not 'nerfing' and keeps as is with Wilson... I don't like current methods of getting brilliance. Need a lot of birdcages and to feed birds quite a bit of shards for it. Best way to go about it is prolly having a storm active, but you know how people feel about THAT when they got bases with plant-based animals near gleams...

Are they worth it? Is it worth farming brightshade bombs?

How many do you make for those fights, typically?
