Oh yeah it was meant to come in September I think.

Considering how slowly updates happen these days, I dare to say that devs working on dst whenever they feel like it. Therefore, no schedule. Why give false promise of a plan when you work on a small update for 2-4 months each?

I think the developers have been doing better than that recently. Just show up on forums and reveal short-term but detailed plans.

Roadmap, as Well as the plan for this year in March that was not called the Roadmap, Well, none of them has been well accomplished in the past few years. Although Klei always emphasizes that roadmap is not a promise, but the fact is that players will inevitably take it as a promise. When it is not fulfilled as promised, people will be disappointed. I think there's actually no need to keep Posting these things.

At this exact current moment Klei has A LOT on their plate when it comes to just the Dont Starve Together IP… that’s not even taking into account their other games and franchises like Oxygen Not Included or Mind Over Magic.

Right Now they have to focus on getting updates out for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 And now also PlayStation 5.

I realistically expect they’re also working on an Xbox Series X/S & maybe even a switch 2 version.

Theres also the whole reveal sometime back ago about the possibility of getting the game on Mobile Platforms as Well.

So I do not expect a Roadmap or for that matter, many content updates until all of that is caught up to par.

I say we don't need a roadmap detailing the updates of the incoming year, it just leads to developers being constricted an unable to do ad hoc changes since they have a schedule to stick to.

I would, however, like a post where the developers just throw in some "Thank you for the past year and here's to the new one" spiel, add some points and show us 1-2 artworks typically made for roadmaps. I miss those artworks, they were some of the highest quality

Heres my guess at a roadmap

Early 2026 - Wes, Warley, Webber Skill Trees.

Mid 2026 - Maxwell, Wanda, Wickerbottom Skill Trees

Late 2026 - End of DST, start of DSTHREE

Not. It's going to be Don't Starve 2 because Klei is tired of multiplayer and they want to focus on single player

Ngl, the multiplayer is all that keeps me on the game.

Honestly? That’s not saying much for the game then. If you feel like it’s not enjoyable Solo then Klei should probably invest some extra time & resources into making it enjoyable solo.

TL:DR- I use to have friends to play this with who actually enjoyed playing it, those friends Grew Up and Got Married, Went Bonkers became people I Use to Know, or they Died.. the friends & family come & go- But the game is always there. 🙃

I mean... It's a live-service game?

I guess different people enjoy different games differently and all that. But I cannot enjoy a live-service game for long without friends. It just doesn't work for me.

Sometimes it's enough to just have friends to talk about the game with, but for some games I need people to actually play with. DST is on the latter group.

It just is what it is. I don't see much appeal in live-service games without friends to actively be there with me to enhance the experience... It just feels better to play games with a beginning, middle and end if I'll be experiencing the whole thing by myself.

Eh, multiplayer has been a pretty huge draw for me in any game since covid. That being said, everyone here knows after playing for a while the cracks start to show. 

Pretty hard to keep the people I introduce the game to interested though. That says a little more about the current quantity.

I've rejected one person from multiplayer. There's a pedo who's been on the Xbox lfg for years. You'll know it by it's voice if you run into them.

Last time I ran into them, they were playing wortox. Very needy and annoying though. They spam the communication repeating the same request for whatever they need on non stop repeat. They're the main reason I don't get on the lfg for dst often.
