What off-meta or not widely used skills do you play with or enjoy using?

Idk, I haven't felt that. It's not like carrying stuff back and forth from the ruins has been an issue since I can just warp with the map. Same for wearing a piggyback all the time.

I feel like with quick-traveling, I don't really need to prepare for a journey and can forgo a lot of things I'd normally take with me, which kinda makes up for all of the slots taken up by the souls.

Quick-travelling removes the need to hoard hundreds of souls even more. Whenever you run low on souls you can just hop over and get some more.

I typically invest in almost all the Woby stuff when I play as Walter. Even though a beef is considered better than Woby and investing in slingshot is considered meta, I just love the many skills scounting and Woby branch has that are just convenient for everyday stuff or exploring the early game.

Do you think that everyone on the forums is constantly making threads about discussing skill trees and what perks to use despite the fact that this is literally the only thread about this right now? Or are you just being mad for no reason?

I’d say pastorale + carmen might be anti-synergistic. If you use your free proc for souls, you won’t have it for carmen. If you need it for carmen, you risk overloading if you already have a full stack of souls.

I happen to think it’s a lot of fun as it emboldens me to really abuse the soul mechanic moreso than pre-skill tree. Inventory space is so trivial as you can literally teleport to your chest zone any time you want. You say it’s okay to have two slots for jars, but draw the line at 4? With one extra measly jar you can effortlessly keep 100% damage on your knabsack, and it’s not even a net negative to inventory space, as it requires 1 extra jar + silk vs living logs + nm fuel.
