Please Klei let fumaroles be immortals/indestructible and temporarily damage them with a pickaxe (maybe add even a cute flavour of them providing light when totally damaged? Like when nightmare lights were in beta :) )

What's the point of a new biome being dangerous and more difficult (which it's not even that difficult) and experiment with a new environment threat, if you can just mine it and never come back? And sometimes they can be removed even without player's input.....

I don’t think they need to be indestructible because they haven’t been for the whole beta and I do think it is nice to have the option to break them if they are in the way, but I really feel they should have some sort of regrowth mechanic to allow them to renew overtime (perhaps even amp the rates during summer and/or during the shadow rifts!). I think this would retain the incentive of the fumaroles with the current behavior of allowing you to break them if desired.

Perhaps different products such as Ice, Rocks, Flint, Nitre, Gold, etc. can be selectively dropped according to different situations?

I don't like very much fumaroles being another source to have nitre, flint, gold and rocks when there are already plentyful ones and to not un-balance more the game. Plus they function as traps, not as reward farming points.

BUuuuuuttt, Ice. Ice could be interesting. We don't have proper Ice farming. It's only obtainable through Winter or Frostjaw's dungeon. So I could be lenient for that.

I looked up the ores that could be mined, but unfortunately only found these few.
However, in the early stage, Nitre did not seem to have a particularly stable source...

Actually, at first I hoped they could produce granite or obsidian, but then I realized this wasn't oni.:cower:

Anyway, if they drops only Ice and nitre, I'm still down. Nitre is also logical now in second re-thought. We're talking about magma, lava and hot. It make sense nitre to be there.

It is said that there are four eruption forms in the code: cold, hot, gas, and miasma.
Only two of them have been used so far.

I agree with this but I guess it wont be changed in release. Its like being able to just delete (not move) pearl, queen of moon quay, unnatural portal, pig king and other unique structs. Biomes just lose their key features and become useless.

Exactly!!!! It's part of the level design, game design, everything! And the worst part is, this is not the first time for Klei to miss such things :c

But, people has said, even directly to me, that there is still time since this is part 1, right? *Put clueless meme here* I'm down to give another "let them cook" to Klei for the third time (first time ocean, second time skill trees/Rifts) and hoping it will not be another copium of us.

Talk more. Put more posts about it! Let your voice be heard and possibly in a constructive well manner. I'll refuse to let Caves and Ruins having another half-baked poor quality control.
