Board Game Skin Questions

I got the everything pledge on launch. No updates about skins, just board game content they're adding. They haven't shown any of the in-game character skins yet, sadly. :[

i've been keeping an eye on the game files to see if anything's added in early, although i suspect that the skin files will only be added about when they start actually shipping stuff out... i'll probably report back here if i find anything, provided that some sort of pasta or alternate doesn't beat me to the punch XP

it repeatedly confounds me how obfuscated some of the information on the board game goodies is - i STILL dont know if the woodie&winona deluxe set even comes with the wereforms, or if the deluxe stuff gets skins at all (in which case, i might end up with TWO wortox codes...) i still think its craaazy that they didnt mention that you could get painted versions of the actual board game pieces until the pledge manager released lol.

nonetheless i'm excited to have wortox figurines

For the skins? still no, in general? Yes! There actually was one TODAY

it's kind of just one of their regular updates where they talk about where they are in the developpement process, explain one mechanic or such from the board game, and show off stuff, but it's cool to hear and see progress!

by woodie and winona deluxe you mean the plastic mini versions? if so, yeah it comes with wereforms!

if you mean the premium mini's, then no, seems there's no premium wereforms ;(

 

and to answer the second question, the "Deluxe" version of the core box, does come with the skins yes, BUT. if by deluxe, you mean the premium mini's, no, they don't contain skin codes, they're more so just extra figurines to display and be pretty 

the only things containing skins are the actual expansions, NOT the add-ons and also, BOTH the plastic mini AND the acrylic standees versions of every expensions contain skins (So for exemple, both Cave Calamities (Plastic Miniatures) AND Cave Calamities (Acrylic Standees) will contain codes for the skins)

if it's ever unclear what a box does and doesn't contain, check the store page of the individual thing you're checking out! They always have a "component list" section which tells you about EVERYTHING included within each add-on or expansion, and the skins are highlighted! So you can very quickly see what does or doesn't contain a skin

 

on the actual topic, man I also can't wait to see what the skins look like ingame, I also check every update in case klei silently added them to the files but alas. (I need to know if the maxwell sprite will have an earring.) ALSO, I need every individuals ever to spam mention me once it gets revealed what they look like in game

thank you for the comprehensive post ^_^ also, ill keep you in mind - ill bet youre gonna figure it out at the same time as me and look at maxy yourself tho, considering the arms race we're in every update XD
