Waywarbler
Yeah... I was a little disappointed they never did anything to change up the fight. They even lowered its health from 10k to 8k as if to be like "yeah, you've already done this before, let's just hurry it along." I will say though, "giant gestalt haunts warbot" wouldn't make sense, because it's supposed to be in there against its will. 2 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/167701-why-nobody-talk-about-this-boss-in-hostile-takeover/#findComment-1832759 Share on other sites

Kinda funny to think that all of the lunar arc worsens our survivors' lives (if you don't count the crafts) the moment they even dare help Wagstaff. Alter was dormant, chilling, sleeping and vibing even... until that old man had to barge in, disrespect it, wanting to siphon its power despite all it did to retaliate... in all ways possible. Well, he screwed around and found out Alter isn't interested in playing his games. Projection no more, physically kidnapped and banished to the lunacy realm. Hah! ...oh yeah about the revenant boss I don't like how it's just CC phase 1 (the sequel; now with planar damage!!) In a lore perspective I suppose it's Alter trying to send CC down again in a partially "enhanced" form hence its power output being optimal for Wagstaff's plans since regular CC was Alter's first line of defense, which, obviously failed. lowercase skye
I enjoy it. It's a lot like how RPGs will often recycle early-game bosses as basic enemies later in the game: you're so much more powerful now that the Celestial Champion is small potatoes, relegated to phase 1 of a much larger boss. I could easily change my mind if I saw arguments along those lines, but that's not what I see. The general thread of debate here is always asking for something to be nerfed, and almost never the opposite. I'm not saying the first phase of this new boss set should be difficult. I'm just saying it's convenient to have the same boss as Celestial Champion, since it's easy and everyone knows how to fight it. And it's even natural that all the community's attention was directed to W.A.R.B.O.T. at the time. And with the little time the devs had at that time, recycling a boss was a decision that gained more time to better develop the other two. Yeah that's my point, it's literally just your own views and biases that seem to shape your opinions. You've done a good job explaining why you don't believe people when they tell you things. The only thing i'd really say is that I think everyone else is having a sincere conversation, so you're not fully able to participate unless you're able to accept that even if someone says something you don't understand or disagree with - they're not trying to get one over on you, that's just what they think. 50 minutes ago, Cruvimaster said: The general thread of debate here is always asking for something to be nerfed, and almost never the opposite Listen man, that's a pattern you've noticed. It's not my experience, I think people are generally able to explain what they mean here. We even have people using AI translation and they describe their points well, even if the translation isn't the best. It's a pretty solid community of people who seem to really care about the game and discuss their problems with it. Considering the devs only really respond to messages about bugs or dissatisfaction, that's most likely why you're seeing a pattern that just isn't there. I'm happy with a lot in the game, I'm not going to put a thread expressing all of my praise - I will point out what i'm not meshing with though, cause obviously there's something that may change. It's not the most helpful feedback to receive positive praise - I've just had a few people playtest something for me. I'd have felt like I wasted my time if the feedback was entirely 'Oh that's great' 'yep, loved it'. I want something to work on. Tigris Nano
Well its just first phase cc reskin with planar dmg. There is nothing to discuss. It has exact same patterns and its quite boring. I wish it had low hp so I could jump to warbot instantly. Or it would be nice if it got replaced with smth more unique. 2 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/167701-why-nobody-talk-about-this-boss-in-hostile-takeover/#findComment-1832853 Share on other sites

One of the few threats we were given that wasn't yet another boss, and now it gives you free loot instead. Why's it always got to be bosses all the time? I've almost never seen people complaining or being dissatisfied with the DS bosses. But DST has many complaints. This is mainly because Klei forces everyone to play under the same conditions. A person playing Wilson alone or a team of 6 people. This creates an imbalance in that some bosses die in 10 seconds, while others turn into monotonous minutes or even dozens of minutes of combat. Others make combat very uncomfortable due to mechanics related to teamwork. Alternatively, the set of moves may be such that a solo battle is much easier. It's high time to make a solo mode where bosses, generation, loot, mechanics, and balance will be made for a perfect single-player experience. And there should be a similar mode for teams, where hp scalling is mandatory. Before Klei does this, DST will look like a swamp filled with ideas, garbage, and more. DST tries to be both a casual game and a complex one. It's both single-player and multiplayer. It's both survival and sandbox. Klei also tries to remove decade-old abuses while leaving a bunch of others... There's absolutely no game progression or balance in the game. Terrible things remain terrible for a decade, and powerful things remain powerful. DST is a swamp where Klei throws all their ideas. They don't care about the integrity of the world, the atmosphere, the lore, the balance, or the gameplay. Hungry French
"Enter a strange and unexplored world full of odd creatures, hidden dangers, and ancient secrets. Gather resources to craft items and build structures that match your survival style. Play your way as you unravel the mysteries of "The Constant"." DST is only good as a sandbox. You can do something and use something, or you can do nothing or use nothing. I just don't understand why Klei is deliberately closing content... You can go straight to the ruins and get items that are better than almost everything in the alchemy engine. Lunar Island rush... And more... But Klei is closing content behind bosses... The customization options for generation support this. However, they need significant improvement... It breaks the balance of HP... I can happily team up with a toad and get the lamp I wanted, but if I do it alone... I have to go through a very long and boring fight, spending a whole inventory of resources that are 100 times more valuable and useful than the lamp... Yes, Klei can't do everything... But some of it can be solved with mods. And Klei has tried to make the game easy enough for modding. Simple editing of the tuning file, etc... but why on earth do I have to have a forced server system when I come from solo DS... I have to look for a mod somewhere so that there won't be a lot of lag in solo worlds... In 10 years, Klei could have implemented this in the game... And world gen is a dark theme... In the 10 years that DST has been around, no one has been able to make ruins under caves. In fact, DST is not very friendly to DS players. If they don't like something, the only option is to not play the game. Although I can say that modding is very exciting. Although it takes a lot of time to find the answers. Sometimes it creates a kind of mental collapse... What do I want the game to be like? Although it can lead to the vanilla game looking wrong... + mod support also usually takes a lot of time... 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/167701-why-nobody-talk-about-this-boss-in-hostile-takeover/#findComment-1832888 Share on other sites

Ideally six people do make some stuff easier (bosses, most of the time) but add additional complications for others (feeding them, clothing them, organizing them). I think the former gets a lot of attention in videos and other content, but it isnt that easy to do it long term. Or it shouldnt, anyway. Then again, maybe it isnt a problem if things are just easier with more people.
