The drop rates for bunny puffs (as well as carrots and meat) are kind of abysmal. Building Rabbit Hutches is very costly given their utility, of which most people that do actually use them use them for spider farms (that eventually get overpowered and need to be manually adjusted), batsilisk traps (tingle nodes now exist and are less likely to nip you on your way in and out of the caves), and in rare cases maybe as followers for certain bosses like Dragonfly. Compared to how cheap and easy it is to make Pig Houses and Craftsmerm / Warrior Merm Houses, I don't understand the balancing reason behind bunnymen just being so terrible to farm. Given that now on top of the drops being nerfed you have to deal with the rabbit king.

I really don't think any sort of ludicrous farm someone could make with Bunnymen (that would be equally achievable for far less resources and effort with Merms and Pigs) justify the cost either. Not everyone is going to or even wants to play with gigantic farms. I haven't made a singular fur roll in a decade... please. Creatures like Tallbirds have been revisited and worked around to be worth engaging with, I'd like the same to happen to Bunnymen.

Yeah, they were nerfed to hell back whenever the new farming system was first added, since they were the meta food source at the time and would be able to outpace its veggie production with minimal effort, but now that we've settled into new farming I think they really deserve another look over. It shouldn't take deconstructing 80% of the bunny hutches in the caves just to make a reasonable farm out of them, which you then get basically no additional product from running.

Yeah, I always was a bit sad with how bunnymen became post RWYS. They went from a food source that you saw on every server (which did justify the nerf, to be fair), into something I have not seen anyone try using for food, and especially not now with things like the rabbit king penalizing players further.

I really don’t like their drop table of sharing either a carrot/meat/bunny puff chance. I would much, much rather have the meat/puff chance at 75%/25%, like with pigs, and/or have it so there’s an additional 50% chance to roll a carrot drop. It wouldn’t help too much with pufts being more useful to farm, but would at least encourage players to get more of them in the first place.

meat is plentiful to the point of rediculous but puffs only come from bunnymen and bunny hutches.

Bunny Puffs are among one of the easiest loot to farm, lol. Wall in Rabbit Hutches and 2-3 Anenemies per hutch and you have a completely passive farm. The rate and mileage depends on the amount of Anenemies you can procure in a world but even a small farm gives massive amount of puffs in the long run without any upkeep whatsoever.

At the same time, please also revisit everything related to the Wrathful Rabbit King.

If I’m understanding correctly, there’s still no way to lower Rabbit Naughtiness, and somehow it seems to be shared globally rather than per player (I kept running c_despawn(0), but Rabbit Naughtiness didn’t  looks reset). This means some bad guy kill one rabbit per day and push the counter up to the rabbit's wrath threshold, and then a poor innocent beginner kills just one rabbit, that Mischievous Thumper will chases them to the ends of the hell to kick them in the nuts.
And if by Goddess Charlie's mercy, even if they manages to defeat Simon, all you'll get is the Rabbit Tentacle Spike.

What I would like to see improved? There are tons...
- (Author's idea)Let us craft Simon’s trade goods and Bunny Puffs to create new good stuffs.
- Make Rabbit Naughtiness decay over time.
- Track Rabbit Naughtiness per player, not globally.
- Make player can run away Simon.
- Make Rabbit Naughtiness decay over time.
- Make the Rabbit King Cudgel worth the trouble, for example, let us augment it with Bunny Puffs so it becomes a weapon/tool that also doubles as a Burrowing Horn.
- Prevent White Simon dropping in caves.
- Make Rabbit Naughtiness decay over time.
- Please make Rabbit Naughtiness decay over time.

Speaking of bunny puffs this reminded me of my idea that i shared few months ago in beta branch forums and i think it's time to show this again

It would be nice to get more usage of bunny puffs for decoration even if it's only white beard rug :p

I'd loveee to have more carpets and turfs in general. That's really cute. I agree with the notion that we should have more bunny puff related crafts, especially if the drop rate is adjusted.

I was thinking that a clothing item like a Bunny Puff Poncho that acts as a sanity restoration body slot item would be nice. Most body slot items that have sanity restoration caps out at like 3.33 per minute, with the Hibearnation Vest having 4.44. It'd be cool if it had 6.67+ (Tam o' Shanter) sanity restoration rates but only had like 60 winter insulation and that was it, that way it wouldn't interfere with the Insulated Vest (Especially since it has super high winter insulation and reduced hunger drain) while still fulfilling the niche of a sanity item.

The post is talking about how absurdly rare they are and how they shouldn't require big farms to gather... And you're suggesting a farm that would require investing most/all of your anenemies.

I don't think bunnymen drops should be so abysmal if you're punished for killing too many and I don't think you should be basically required to hammer their houses if you want any okay amount of bunny puffs. I'd love if they make it so that they always drop a carrot + a bunny puff or a meat.

Just put 1 house in your base and kill it every day.
They are all equally needed for literally 1 thing. And I have a feeling that I'm the only one who used it.

Fair enough. I meant that it is possible to make a passive "trickle farm" that racks up Bunny Puffs over time. This method uses little space as well. Though you are completely right that it feels silly to sacrifice your Anenemy arsenal simply for farming puffs.

It's a lot more annoying to farm them in a pinch. I've had some luck with building plenty of Rabbit Hutches and letting Deadly Brightshades cut them down. Even one Deadly Brightshade is enough. The problem is still kickstarting the farm.

Perhaps something should be done about the drop rate but I think it was fair that it got nerfed hard considering how redundant it made other food sources. Another way of acquiring puffs could be added.

The food part I don't particularly mind it's just the bunny puffs

It would still take an eternity to get a sizable amount, bunny puffs are also required to build bunny hutches.

My thought is primarily that I don't want to spend an eternity getting a resource with such little utility that doing so is a frivolous sidequest to any of the other things I could be doing with my time. Like why would I kill bunnymen daily for bunny puffs, I don't even like killing Glommer every day during Moonstorms to roll for a Krampus Sack. On the other hand I could kill a pig man for an infinitely better chance of getting meat and pigskin (which has far more utility), or even transform the pigman to guarantee meat and pigskin. You could steamroll an entire bunnyman village and not get a singular puff if your RNG is bad enough.

If bunny puffs were more plentiful then we could start looking into giving it more recipes and such. It feels so majorly forgotten as a resource.

There is a hammer for mass production of rabbit houses.

100% this

Just upping Bunny Puff drop rate from 25% to 50% would be a huge quality of life. Like what they did with Cookie Cutter Shells. Since that was buffed, I actually use the cookie cutter hat regularly because it has so much more durability over the football helmet.

Just wanted to mention that the Rabbit king is not Simon, he is Simon's cousin. Simon is the Fortuitous rabbit.

Yes that is the Fortuitous rabbit but when you try to catch him he swaps places with the Rabbit king. Maxwell calls him specifically Simon's brute cousin when he is wrathful.

You're right. What I'm trying to say is that Simon embarrassed me.
