I mean technically it makes sense, but if they're not planning on giving the blueprint to late game boss, I think the recipe is fine how it is. It'd really suck for a mid-game boss like Scrappy to drop a blueprint that can only be used late game.

Add even Volt goat gorn to recipe but can be possible to be connected more than 2?

Adding a volt goat horn to the recipe might make it a bit too expensive, especially since you get 4 walls per craft...Just because the recipe doesn't include something that shocks things doesn't mean it needs it.

Well i was also thinking since we got blueprint we also need scourse of the electricity or else, this could lead to have 2 per crafting. It is still beta so we will see changes about that

It would be so much less useful and so much more obnoxious if the crafting recipe was made to include something like this. Part of why it's so appealing right now is the simple recipe along with being available pre-rifts and even pre-moonstorms. Hell, moonstorms are one of the things fences make easier, so it would be a little dumb to essentially require them (and also moonstone, another event they would be really nice for) to get it first. They're fine.

Speaking of the Moonstone event, I actually tested the E-Fences for it and they seem to work great!

-snip-

I managed to get away with 4 electric fences in my test world.

You get 4 electric fences per craft too. These seem really good for this considering you can get these as early as Scrappy Werepig (without even needing to beat him).

I ended up using two layers since some hounds would get through, but I'm still trying to understand how to use these things. I think the farming potential of this item is going to be insane.

You get 4 walls for 4 scrap and 2 moon glass.

ooh, yeah that seems pretty cheap. Though I guess scrap is kind of costly to farm, especially if you don't know the method of doing it properly (I sure don't but I've never tried to farm it) idk, could warrant a slight slight nerf. Even if it is something as small as a singular gem of some kind.

It's what the title says. Electric feneces produce electricity, so moongleam would be fit perfect as an electricity-producing resource.

This will be ruining my fun and making it end game.

I highly disagree with this idea, and making it an item only gotten from the storms is worse

I meaaannnnnnnnn...... Klei always does these things, so everyone here are not wrong. Scraps are okay, but glass? Very strange. It would make more sense with frazzled wires and eletrical doodad, to say a few. Even yellow gems wouldn't be bad as @Evelo said.

IMO, there isn't really a good way to farm scrap "properly" right now. The best options boil down to "get Scrappy Werepig to chuck as many scrap piles at you as possible" and "have/be a Winona with the Founder's Keepers 1 skill". The first can only be done once every 20 days (if you're killing NMWP the same day as he spawns), takes a decent amount of time, and gives you scrap piles that only have a 25% chance of having a scrap piece for every rummage, and the second is character-locked. Scrap is one of those items that seems cheap as dirt because you get a load in the very early game when you have no use for it, but once you have a regular sink for it you realize what a pain it is to gather. It would be nice for it to be one of the items offered by the Wandering Trader.

That being said, as things currently are, I don't actually mind it being a bit of a pain: recurring scrap costs (shockscrap rounds, electric fences) seem actually worth the grind with this update. Though I don't know enough to make a call on automats, since with the changes to Wormwood in the Warbot fight and WARBIS armor it seems like upkeep for that armor is about to become another recurring cost for him. Might be worth testing for yourself and seeing whether the upkeep cost on that feels reasonable.

Moongleams make sense but like many already said its quite lategame, volt goat horns would fit the crafting better

Idk, with how annoying it is to farm those guys, I don't think it'd be all that great. You only get 4 per craft and can't relocate them once you place em' down. I doubt most would bother with them if the recipe was tweaked.

Even fences might work now with only 4 posts. The fences inside prevent mobs from walking in. Just gotta place em really close to each other so there’s no space between the 2 or else they might break the fences.
Something like this?

if it did use volt goat horn, people would then start using it to dupe horns lol
