Speaking of the Moonstone event, I actually tested the E-Fences for it and they seem to work great!

Unrelated but what version of the TMIP mod are you using??? My TMIP doesnt have the moonstorm stuff

its rather powerful so it seems resonable.

Eh, the more I spend in my beta world, the more I think the price is fine. I decided to rush for the fence, defeated NWP in late autumn and killed SWP mid-winter, and realized the scrap needed for the fences wasn't to obtain for the fences. Turns out scrap isn't easy to aquire pre-rifts, either needing good RNG from the big scrap pile, or wait a while to fight Scrappy again. Unless I was using construction amulets to reduce the cost, I wasn't able to get more than 8 fences. It's probably better post-rifts, as Wagstaff's junk will provide you with a renewable source of it, but at that point in the game, I don't think it being strong is a bad thing. Honestly, if it gets nerfed to have a moon gleam or something, I'd be pretty disappointed. It's strong, but if you're rushing for it, you're not going to have much scrap to work with.

Using Moongleam would force the player to activate Moonstorm and then would have to defeat the Celestial Champiom to disable Moonstorm. Each time we wanted to do more electric fences, we would need to repeat this in this cycle. If we leave Mononstorm activated, every night we will have inimical gestalts bothering the players. For me it's a bad idea.

Again. Frizzled wires, eletrical dodas and yellow gems are still open to the table.

Frazzled wires aren't such a bad idea, actually. They could add a 2 pieces requirement for crafting e-fences. Granted, they'd be duplicable, but they're plentiful anyway, so it probably wouldn't be too much of a problem.

welp, you need moon storm now...

Maybe not? If you do get lucky enough to get a few green gems in the ruins, you'll only need 3 scrap per craft and destroying 3 of the four walls will get you enough to make 4 more, allowing you to make 20 fences with a full construction amulet. Still, kinda sucks they increased the price, I thought 4 scrap was pretty reasonable.

How so?

Getting scrap pre-rifts is pretty pretty hard, as the fences and junk piles in the junk yard have a 25% chance to drop it, and once they're gone, you'll need to either kill Scrappy to get more or activate the rifts in order for Wagstaff to spawn his abandoned junk in the junkyard, allowing for a renewable source of scrap. So I believe he's implying moon storms are necessary for the walls as they're required to open the rifts which will get you more scrap.

I really don't get it why they went that direction...

Like I don't know if Klei understands that new people or even normal people, by the time they will arrive to the Rifts, they're "tired". What I mean is, a loooot of time will pass before they encounter Rifts, and blind or not or semi blind (how could you do the shadow quest blind it's a mystery for me), if they're blind they don't understand and could feel complete after defeating Ancient Fuelweaver or CC (which is the sentiment for a lot of people here in the community) and more time will pass during Rifts because they're clueless that you need to re-do alllll the game, while for those who knows will rush because you know, it's very annoying the concept of re-doing all the game. Therefore the tingle will not have space to breathe normally. It's simply not appealing to wall a structure like this so much far in the game, when it could be far more useful before and have room for blind or not people to breed creativity with their constructions.

The tingle should be absolutely a structure for the mid-game aka after first level, caves and Ruins or first level, ocean and Lunar Island.

2xScraps, 2xMoon glass, 2xFrazzled wires and when crafted you receive 4 tingles, seems to me very perfect.

Hell, even more complicate if Klei wants;

2xScraps, 2xMoon glasz, 2xFrazzled wires, 1xYellow gems and when crafted you receive 4 tingles. This way we have finally a third use for yellow gems, so they don't stock-pile fast in the chests.
