As it says on the tin, but to elaborate further, think back to when the COTL potted fern skin came out and everyone started abusing the bundle of thanks bug. People wanted to decorate and felt the only way to reasonably collect this resource was with a bug/exploit. Eventually it was fixed and people had to go back to collecting this resource the old fashion way and realized how poor it felt, I worry the same thing will happen with dreadstone once the mimic construction amulet exploit is fixed. 

Dreadstone is heavily bottle-necked, with its non character exclusive acquisition methods being from the outcrop from ink blights, and nightmare werepig. The Nightmare Werepig takes an incredibly long time to re-fight with normal world settings and the outcrops are an absolute pittance and is also time-locked. An important note is that dreadstone is more than a decorative resource and is tied to incredibly useful structures and gear. I think its clear that klei wants to be cautious with how much dreadstone they give to players but I think my point still stands that the current methods feel bad. The addition of the Icker Preserve feels like it further exasperated this issue with how much of a sink the item is to hold one stack at a time.

Duping is also a method, the normal way, but I kind of dislike when the main method of collecting a non-boss-exclusive item is duping.

I hope that Klei is able to mend this somehow. I feel like its important to still understand that the vision is clear with this resource and I don't want to be showered with it, but possibly a more hands on method would alleviate a lot of the current issues I have with this resource. With the shadow finale update approaching I have high hopes that we'll at least get something, though no idea how much it'll address.

The meta way to farm dread stone is by using masque pure horror farm which can produce 1500 horror per day, and make them into dreadstone by Wilson.
I'm fine if klei want to add more d stone resource, but it's fine rn

This is way too much work for dreadstone. I can double my stack of dreadstone in about 2 days by using mimicked construction amulets to craft dreadstone walls, then just have the reanimated forest skeleton walk through them. Costs me nothing except the nightmare fuel to refuel my thurible.

Masqued mutated merm will deal aoe dmg after thawing.

Creatures will get masqued if getting killed by masqued creature, even they're already masqued

Masqued bunnymen (the other has mutated merms) killing masqued spiders over and over again.

How is the setup started? Can you capture masked spiders and put them near bunnies? Or do you build huts where masks spawn?

Masked Bunnies and Spiders dont fight though right? So it needs dens and hutches near each other wherever you see masks spawning. Right?

Dreadstone outcrops can actually regrow after about 1 day, if the ink blights guarding it haven't been killed, compared to the usual 3 day cooldown if the ink blights die. 

Furthermore, it takes only 1 brightshade bomb to mine dreadstone from the outcrop.
