Title.
Much like how Walter players now have the option of locking and unlocking Woby, I feel as if for the Warly skill tree update, Warly should also get this change by default so when playing with others (mainly friends) everyone can have the luxury of a better kitchen.

this applies to the Portable Crock Pot and Portable Seasoning Station (The mill doesn't have much reason to be interactable), you should also be able to toggle on Deployment and Undeployment for others.

I do know that the portable pot does cook faster and has its own special Warly only recipes; which might lead to some questionable balancing among other things, however I think this'd be a nice QoL change for Warly so others can help him do his job easier.

Warly's kitchen isn't comparable to Walter's portable inventory. That disappears when he goes away since it's part of him, and the only reason you can lock it is so that people don't take items from you that you might not want them to since it's basically an extension of his inventory.

A comparable character would be Wolfgang, not Walter. You're basically asking for Wolfgang to be able to enable a "Give everyone double damage" checkbox.

I have thought about this idea a bit, and the idea boiled down to the crock pot being useable, but only as a normal crock pot. No special dishes, no speed up, just a red crockpot. They also cannot deconstruct it for pickup. This way of you or your warly friend have a warly crockpot setup, everyone can still use it for it's primary purpose of cooking foods while warly retains all of the proper benefits. This is only applicable to the crock pot, the seasoning and mill are still unavailable. The idea is essentially just making it so that people don't have to make a second crockpot setup up for non warly players if a warly did.

Sure, so Warley can just be a more swapable character. I will just make 8 portable crock pot and station and leave, not even need to switch back again for cooking

well no youd need a warly IN the world for that setting to actually be toggable
otherwise the structures become unsuable

Warly is already suffering enough. I don't think it's fair to rip away the small amount of spotlight he gets

Take it easy, future his skill tree will make him more than just a swap character, just like it did for Winona.

Personally, I agree with sharing the Portable Crock Pot, but like @Frashaw27 said, I agree it to function as a normal Crock Pot without the speed boost or the ability to make special dishes.

maybe, but we would have to see how good he is after his skill tree

the spicy powder cake:

I would take the crock pot being completely generic without being able to make his recipes (which is fair) or the crafting speed (which I don’t really think would be absurdly powerful for others to have, but an issue is an issue and its not that bad at the end of the day), if only because the skinsets the portable sets got are awesome and I would adore to swap out my crockpots in my main kitchen with the skinned ones if others could use them.

Yeah I'm aware his tree will basically be a rework, but that's way later.

(Can't wait for Warly to get 3 separate skills that speed up the eating animations by 5%, 10%, then 20%. Then for klei to make him "better" by reducing everyone else's eating animations by 150%)

And what is the explanation for the structures magically becoming unusable when Warly disappears from reality but it's completely fine when he's a thousand miles away in the caves?

Warly not being in the world?
i dont get what you mean
if we take away the special recipes (and maybe faster cooking) all players can use the pots wherever warly is
but if theres no warly in the current world they become uninteractable
for the caves thing itd be the exact same i dont get the issue
