I cant believe people are just accepting the old geezer evicting the sweet crabby granny we been taking care of after all these years. I surely dont.

Hermit crabs always look for a bigger home, and she could be happier there since there is no lunar fissures and the island is bigger.

Its not exactly an eviction. You give Pearl a map with a bigger island that has no celestial fissures and no annoying wagstaff on it, so she sees it as ideal and moves over to it. Wagstaff just conveniently neglected to mention that this island is also inhabited by monkeys in order to convince Pearl it was the ideal moving location. The islands larger size would also make up for destroying the original decorations people spent time building on Pearl's isle, as now you can build them again, bigger and better.

Speaking of which, I actually really like how following Wagstaff to the end is going. The longer you follow him the more self-centered he seems, growing more impatient at you and forcing you to destroy everything you did on Pearl's isle in the name of "progress" to show you the dangers of only pursuing self-improvement, to only play the game to get more and more powerful gear no matter who you hurt.

But, to help the decorators who still want to complete this questline fully, when Pearl moves she just warps away in a cool animation and brings the bare essentials. What if she had a conch blowing animation beforehand, and you could trade for this special conch item, allowing you to move large structure or even small things like flowers from one location to another, which would not only make moving decor from Pearl's island, but also help with moving decor from one base to another.

I like this plot twist too. I honestly didn't expect it to be like this, but I'm even glad about it.

Honestly it also makes me excited to see Charlie's side of this as well.
