  On February 22nd, Klei's Bilibili official account posted an update about the upcoming skill tree changes. The comments under this post are uniformly negative reviews of Wendy's skill tree and insults directed at designer Jason.

  There has been a persistent notion in the forums that "dissatisfaction with Wendy is only from a small group of Chinese players who visit the forums, and the majority of Chinese players are actually satisfied." Now, do these comments from Chinese players on the Bilibili official account represent the "majority"?

  Ignoring and evading are not solutions to problems. What's coming next in the official release will be the players' anger, a flood of negative reviews, and a boycott of skin purchases.

I don't know what anybody expects to achieve from threatening and hatebombing the developers, the Beta exists for the purpose of feedback. I don't think users going out of their way to insult the developers should be given special treatment, and this behavior should not be endorsed whatsoever. The best thing that Klei can do for themselves is ignore and ban users that cannot contribute to the conversation in a way that's mature and constructive. The inevitable fallout of people realizing that they wont get what they want by misbehaving is not Klei's responsibility. You wouldn't want to listen to someone who does nothing but berate you all of the time, would you? Why expect the same from a company? Klei being so open to community feedback should not be taken for granted.

Almost 90% of the comments are negative. I did not selectively capture these comments. As I mentioned earlier, I screenshot them in the default sorting order of the website, and I did not skip any comments in between. You're right, theoretically. But actually, NO. People become radicalized because all they get when they're calm is disregard.

What Klei really does is ignore users that is contribute to the conversation in a way that's mature and constructive, this has led to the results we see today.

I really don't want to put it this way, but what actions the authorities should take, how to define the nature of the article, whether it will be a real loss, and which kind of evaluation is wrong— all these are just matters for KLei to consider. If the authorities think all these are wrong, then everyone who disagrees will leave. Whether this is what the authorities want to see can only be considered by them themselves.

That's make the voices of nearly 90% of the people on this forum will be ignored and banned, but actually, that's what they should have done. No matter which side they were on, people who crossed the line should have been dealt with. This is the result of not doing that only to the "Klei side."

I'm tired of people on this forum residents claiming "we're not like them!" The only difference is whether the malice is directed at Klei or they, which doesn't really change the essence of it. and this is with crude translation. if you understand chinese it's like hundreds of times harsher than what we read here in english. the chinese has a poetic and deep-cutting way to insult.

what do the chinese users on this forum expect to accomplish with posts like these, actually? is this a threat? announcing an attack on the financial side? "Ignoring and evading are not solutions to problems" how much flesh of themselves should klei cut to appeal to the chinese base, make them happy?

remember, there's still a final update that you haven't even seen. wortox players are in the same boat as wendy's, yet i don't see them hurling death threats toward people working hard on this game.

For what it's worth, I'm unhappy with Wendy's skill tree and would love to see the developers implement more meaningful choices into it, but it's impossible to advocate for that when they get drowned out by these seas of negative messages, both from players unhappy with the skill tree and from players unhappy with how those players are reacting. I'm unhappy with both, frankly.

From a developer's perspective, there is no reason to give any regard to these comments. Caving in to vitriol only leads to more vitriol.

Sometimes I really wonder if KLei has some users who are like family members to them. How to put it? These users think they are maintaining order, but in reality, they might be the ones KLei looks down upon the most—or perhaps likes the most. Because when KLei's interests are threatened, these users will voluntarily sacrifice their own interests and even attack other players from a standpoint opposite to their own as gamers, just to protect KLei's interests, even if all of this is self-inflicted by KLei.
