Here's a way to make horizon expandinator useful if you give it to wobot to wear, his range can increase by 2x and cover a larger area of chest Also more crafts that includes horizon expandinator would make people actually seek out scrappy. There should also be more of an incentive to kill great worm and a better way to actually encounter it instead of waiting like 20 days in the caves. Maybe worm should drop something that allows people to move wormholes a certain distance, that would make it really useful and people would actually go after worm. Like, earthquake or lunar hail protection too (oh wait, people also had suggested this yet the same response was issued: nothing.) I also like the chapauldron idea and I did see that idea during beta I'm hoping klei actually listens to suggestions this time around but this will probably be the millionth suggestion ignored. If a boss is hunting you down that could literally delete items in your inventory it better have a damn good reward otherwise everyone is just going to run which is what everyone already does right now. Agree but just dropping recipes makes them a 1 time boss like antlion. He should drop more scrap and other silly weapons like the helmet. PunkShark Posted February 13, 2025 Share Posted February 13, 2025 My idea for a worm drop would be a hat that allows you to burrow into the ground as a way of traversing the world, like a wortox teleport or like a whirlwind from the bootleg. It sounds powerful and sounds like it would overthrow a lot of usual methods of teleportation. But the worm is super rare to come by and is not something that is possible to spawn by force. The drop needs to be something that is useful and unique and isn't just another body armor type thing going on considering the amount of havoc and rarity this thing is and brings. maybe its a new crafting recipe that require great depth worm teeth. Just spitballin' ideas. Despite the worm being actually able to spawn now, it is still a very rare occurence. Toughest boss to find rn. starts at 5-10% and with each occuring wave the chance gets bigger. I remember Klei considering him dropping laser blaster, and assuming it's cause of lack of time to develop it likely we never gotten it cause of that. A long cooldown high damage rifle to have is giving something like Wizard with a Gun game vibe and I kinda want it in DST. By the time you even get to kill Scrappy Werepig, especially if you're not bothering with the Dreadstone gear, you have probably explored most of the world already... then what can you even use it for? If you could easily go for Scrappy Werepig right from the start or after a ruins rush without having to mess with NWP, I'm pretty sure the item would see a lot more use.
