Will walters tree change finally show why wendys is bad?

I looked and saw walters tree and it really shows alot and fits better with the character of walter.
And yet wendys gets destroyed.
I know people are tired about hearing wendy but like she really falls under what this pre update walter was under.
Theres all this focus about her damage. and abbys froms.
yet all we want is more utility I feel like most people agree.
Theres been combat nerfs and talks about over poweredness. But like really alot of things kind of miss the point of wendy.
majority of the skills are just making the chores wendy deals with easier.
There are so many scattered points.
Theres no wonder to what should be chosen. Yet thats what walter has got.
Walter really got what should be the epitomy of what skill trees should provide

Just because the designers think Wendy is too strong, they recklessly nerf her. What if another designer were to take Wendy seriously? How would her skill tree evolve? Would she finally receive the necessary adjustments like the other two characters from the same batch, getting what they truly need instead of being left in her current state?

once you showed your emotions about all these comparison and unfairness, other members would just go attack you by their bias.

I'm tired of these things. It seems the heat argument and the bias & personal attack to Wendy players is just an intended strategy for pressing the dissatisfied voices from Wendy players.

I don't need a comparison of Walter's skilltree to give me ammunition, I'm confident that Wendy's skilltree is objectively flawed, not based on jealousy or anything, its based on rational logic.

I'm mad of people use "too strong" as a bad content excuse, denying the possibility of "interesting but not op content" exist, it just doesn't make any sense. There's nothing wrong with a lot of players feeling this way, but what makes me even more desperate is that Jason's statement in his note seems to suggest that he feels the same way, I mean, shouldn't developers at least try to do it? How can you tell the player "she's bad because we think she's too strong"? Do developers also have a superficial view that the strength of the character is the only fun in the game, or do developers think that is player superficial as that, and use that as an excuse to misinterpret and ignore player feedback?

If Wendy's traits can be enhanced through the skill tree, it is not unacceptable for Wendy to be overwhelmed by Willow's skill tree/Walter's skill tree.
The question is, what are the characteristics of Wendy that are deeply loved by everyone? Everyone has different opinions. Some like Wendy's ability to quickly clean up small monsters, some like Wendy's aesthetic design, some like Wendy+Beefalo, some like Wendy's gameplay of "Glass Cannon", some find pleasure in controlling Wendy and Abigail's multi line operations at the same time, and some like to use Wendy for household chores. Apart from Wendy's AOE and outstanding performance in dealing with frogs/spiders/hunting dogs, it's really difficult to unify opinions on other aspects.
But one thing is right, we have spent too much time debating in the battle (Sometimes I really don't want to participate in debates about combat, but the disconnect between poor actual experience and numerical values difficult to reach always leads me to do so). Causing the completion of Wendy's skill tree to appear distant. I sincerely hope that someone can complete it thoroughly with everyone's expectations.

Getting more attention does not necessarily mean getting better. Not to mention that many of Wendy's posts are Nerf Wendy's fishing posts.

If Walter and the Wortox players had the foresight to guide and help Wendy players improve their skill trees from the beginning, the matter would have ended long ago. Unfortunately, some Walter and Wortox players immediately thought of posting some Nerf Wendy fishing posts to vent their dissatisfaction with Wendy's excessive attention, and felt proud that their fishing posts could attract so many Chinese players who were confused about the situation. Afterwards, as everyone knows, there were endless arguments.

I am saying these only to state some facts, not to shift the responsibility onto the players. In fact, there are also many Walter and Wortox players who are very friendly, thank them, and I hope my words will not offend them.

Wasn't this poll like over a month ago before Wendy got 45 updates focused on her?  There's literally a poll from yesterday where the vast majority of people voted that the update was great for her and should be released as is.  Please stop selectively posting random polls.

I just said that there is already a poll.  I think the polls are questionable and that a few people just show up and spam the option to get Wendy focused on the most despite it being almost blatant favoritism at this point, but if you do love the polls, there literally is one from yesterday that you can look at already.

Just from popularity numbers alone, there should be vastly more Wendy players on the forum than Walter and Wortox.

I'd have to agree the waters have been muddied to an extreme extent on the conversation surrounding Wendy so it's hard to tell one way or the other.

And that is really one of the things i feel why its nesscary for everyone to step back and really evaluate if this is a good skilltree.
Alot of people have just set it as is just so they can end the beta.
I don't think any character should be given that treatment at all

There's probably brigading from Wendy fans, but saying it doesn't happen the other way or that the pro-Wendy brigade would just overwhelm the Wendy hating faction is wishful thinking.

Regardless of why, the point still stands, the data is not reliable, from either side.

The thing is though I still see Wendy's skill tree as good it's not like I'm going to suddenly change my mind on it even more so when this update more or less had Walter follow her template minus the slingshot branch which I explained in another thread could Wendy use some tweaks sure but I don't think there's a major flaw with her current skill tree.

My argument was that the polls were dumb, so yes sure, the new ones are dumb too.  I just mentioned the other poll since it was clearly better than one from over a month ago, and that one was being discussed as if it was important.  But yea, I agree the polls are dumb.

The pro Wendy brigade should be able to overwhelm any other group, just by sheer numbers alone. There's way more Wendy players than anyone else.

that's why I gave you a result of what happened at the early of the beta.

could you give a reasonable explanation to clarify why the early poll is muddied even Joew had said something I mentioned above to the poll?

There are tweaks needed yeah.

I think honestly what would solve it is if wendy was given more skills. Stuff that would just be fun but not really overpowered or even just utility  since can only have 15 points she should have maybe 30  I want there to be more choice than what she has been given.

She effectively has 22 skill points to choose from with her affinity locking the other side out.

7 of those goes to potions
3 go to wreath
3 to the affinity
3to team spirit
3 for sisturn.

And alot of these have pointless early branches that  don't really do much. So i think just having some new options or new toys would actually make her tree better
