No amount of good animation can hide the fact that Wendy's skilltree design problems are getting worse

First of all, I would like to praise all the efforts of the artists, the new animation is excellent. But alas, the poor design wasn't worth their effort.

Wendy's skilltree had huge flaws from the start, and serious design issues were never addressed. Subsequent updates have only allowed Wendy's skilltree to develop from a deformed foundation that is already terrible, which may be better on the surface, but the essence has not changed, and even worse, so that subsequent player suggestions have to be proposed from a more deformed prototype, forming a vicious circle.If the foundation is already rotten, how can subsequent updates to the skilltree be satisfying?

Many people come to the forum with kindness and patience, hoping that the game they love will get better and better. But some people don't think so, and they don't allow any degree of blame on developers, even if it's actually well-intentioned persuasion. It's very sad, and so are some managers. Too many posts are locked and too many arguments shouldn't have happened.

I regret that too much of the efforts of the artists and coders were wasted by bad design, and they deserved to be better designed. Wishing them a happy Chinese New Year.

Right, so. What are these serious design issues that were never addressed. Forgive my tone but this is a lot of words for essentially not telling me anything except its a lost cause of whatever they’re doing. 
 

i think its a very pessimistic way of looking at things. Klei has been addressing controversies regarding wendy and the content within it wether its culture appropriation with grave digging, character lore with Lunar abigail and resurrection to fit Wendy more  thematically which some have been asking for. And they didn’t have to do this, they could’ve just released it in its older state and let all the critique be wind one ear out of the other. But they didn’t. And now they’re addressing the balancing of her tree which a lot took it as too powerful (sisturn skill context)

Yes many of them were.

But there were many of posts were constructive discussions from the beginning, they have been locked only because the argument went far beyond laterly. Then some people found that it could be a strategy for locking a post which you dislike.

Can you list some? the vast majority of the ones I've noticed getting locked are toxic.

I dont think the OP was toxic. The reason of locking seems only because the discussion become toxic laterly. Which I was mentioned that "it could be used as a strategy to lock what you dislike in future"

There was a wortox soul jars post that got revived over a month later with arguing and it got deleted

My best guess is that it was over the holidays and whoever moderates the forums was working with a skeleton crew, and was just locking controversial threads to avoid a breakdown before the holidays were over.

The skills are perfectly acceptable right now, as they were when the patch first came out. At least explain what issues you are referring to. Because from my perspective, there are no issues.

Threads get locked when they devolve to the point that no further meaningful conversation is taking place.

Most often many posts have been hidden throughout that thread (that you cannot see) so it may look relatively tame. However when most new posts just continue to be insults and off topic argument, it will be locked.

We have seen and participated in a lot of discussions since the first beta release, and until now, nothing has changed about these disgusting things, spending so much time discussing and waiting, and nothing has changed as a result, how can we maintain our sanity to continue to discuss with people when I really just want them to die

I really like that they fixed the player tag. It was simultaneously too strong, but didn't even work on most bosses before. Now it works on way more.
