Making viable fast travel all character exclusive is kinda dumb

Fast travel being gate kept to Wanda wasn't a good idea. But trying to solve it by adding more character exclusive fast travel options is kinda dumb. Lazy deserter is cool but you need someone on the other end, so it doesnt solve the issue. Traveling around in late game is so boring since you have already explored the world and nothing can kill or reward you in the travel between.

Wortox having it fits. with Winona, not really.

 

Add a viable method of stationary fast travel for all characters. It would have a cost for each use though, maybe a reworked telelocator focus where you can mark them with different gem colours. It would be balanced and viable.

Edit: I really liked Winona being able to travel to any wormhole. Please add a new consumable item you can feed to the worm for this effect.

I still am holding out hope for a universal warp option post rift, especially for the shadow side. Lunar has immensely good QOL tools while shadow isn’t nearly as good in a day to day basis, unless you tame a beefalo. 

Caves in particular have it pretty bad. Aside from tentapillars (which don’t even spawn in the ruins) and maybe bridges, there is nothing that makes cave travel faster unless you opt to play a specific character. This is especially relevant now that the great depth worm exists and getting out of areas quickly is heavily encouraged.

I really hope they look into this, since long term being able to move from place to place is important in the lategame and there is only so much movement speed increases can help for this.

I want it to be pre-riff since i dont like riff content tbh but if it is it would be shadow. But it would be better to improve the telelocator focus.

why wanda? wortox came first with the teleport, you know what came even earlyer then wortox? the purple staff, even without a focus you can use it to teleport....somewhere, unless its the cave

The purple staff is unviable and luck dependant. If you are having a bad day, you spent alot of resources down the drain, and now it is raining and your insane. The chances of landing somewhere like lunar is so low.

hight risk, and over time you get enought gems for it anyways, thanks to gem trees and hound attacks

I sometimes use purple staff when I need to travel from one to another point of the world specifically. After ruins there's plenty of purples to go on about to do so, but only annoyance is that there's a lot of points of interest to visit frequently not to have global warp.

I do also think Wanda having global Warp as character specific is silly and I wish it was cheaper while making an actual warp structure upgrade for telelocator or something, but other only option is Wortox.

It could always get better, but I guess it might with future post rift content hopefully.

I agree with better options for fast travel but it have to be post rift content, otherwise its gonna step into character specific fast travel abilities.

Making it post riff wont change that.

Also, Wortox and Wanda have portable fast travel.

To be fair, making mini rift is very logical for fast travel, like Shadow rift kit for cave and Lunar rift kit for surface, to connect 2 place, Rift open for 5~10 secs, or maybe entire day, depend on travel prices, and you will need either pure horror or brillience (as price for each time we travel) to reopen mini rift again.
