my points is just that its bizarre that people are trying to say, especially jeson she is strong. i think shes between wig and wilson level(if dont count skill tree) (slightly strong, if u make wilson as standard)

I think she, without her skill tree, is as strong as Wigfrid, as long as Wig has her upgraded lightning spear post-moonstorm.

This is before Wendy even has her skill tree yet! And this is compared to late game Wigfrid, with maxed out perks.

plus I kind of glaze over your posts due to combination of your terrible logic

oh man, my logic is terrible, is that everyone who dont agree u is the one who has terrible logic?

how often you insult others

sir, u r the one that cut in line and blame me first, shouldnt i be a bit overreact?

true, but the price is -25% dmg

until you get a beefalo or planar weapon or the enlightened crown or followers or gunpowder or any other damage source that ignores the flaw. Times have changed a lot since it came out. Wendy has a lot more ways to do normalish damage. and of course this is assuming abigail is never out vs having her for a portion of the fight. Even having her just half a fight gives her a pretty normal TTK for a 1x.

thats a point, but unlike wig, wendy cant trigger many times of crown, and pls dont talk about followers, i do think wurt and webber has much to say. and gunpowder, it was a expensive items, cause u need usually 1 more stack to kill, until we can now mine eel pond after fw.

well beefalo occupies a great part of wendy gaming, have to admit, it feels kinda a part of wendy now, but after celestial + that pig, klei did launch many bosses with knock back to restrict beefalo, they still r still unwilling to add knock back immunity to any of the saddles

in the early game, wendy cant compare to wig cause your beefalo is untamed, after that and after you get war saddle, shes finally stronger than wig. and after celestial chanpion, wig get her enlightened crown and now wendy is slightly weaker than wig.

so in summary, i think wig is stronger than wendy.

maybe wig player in my savedata is good? she never allow me to get close to her spider farm, says she needs them for sansity and hp regen xd. only when we going to kill beequeen or frog rain or i go farm shadow splumonkey for fuel, i finally feels AoE geting useful.

I think it’s particularly worth it for wendy to get some quick eating sanity food for crown specifically because of her damage penalty.

Generic followers are…well okay theyre bad but coat of carrots i think changes the calculus a bit. (i’ll talk about this in a sec). I don’t actually like merms or spiders - think theyre a pain in the butt to manage and buff and slow. More power to people who make them work though.

Gunpowder i only suggest for celestial champion to shortcut getting brightshade gear. (or fuelweaver, your pick). I think it’s such a big buff for her to get rifts open because staff/sword/bombs all mitigate her flaw. It isnt really necessary but she can farm eggs off frogs very early at least.

I agree with you on beefs actually. I dont like fighting with them as much now. Still good for getting around though since she has no unique transport options, and if the enemy doesnt dismount then it’s okay.

Early BQ is still really good, and wendy still has a pretty easy time of it compared to everyone else, even with skilltrees out. I experimented a bit with coat of carrots and it’s pretty useful but it just dies too quick without bundles. But it really fixes your DPS if youre ruthless about moving the bunny huts. And you get so much healing and sanity control from the other BQ drops.

not bad idea, but for me, wendy isnt weak to fight against fw or u can say those bosses who cant knock u back from beefalo and AoE to kill abi is the boss that wendy can fight well, so kinda no need. as for cc, pier+eye tower should be more affordable to cheese than... damn its how many stack of gunpowder? and for me, usually i just go cave as soon as i get beefalo and saddle. so shadow monkey is even better to farm.

Thats fair enough. I’m just saying that discussing wendy’s flaws or lack of options needs to be discussed in context of how we’re actually playing the game. Yeah 75% damage and no innate wood/rock gathering or movement options are bad in a vacuum, but if you can kill AFW and start cave rifts before first spring, when everyone else would finally get weather pains, then who cares (lol).  Get planar weapons and armor and items, and then shred the pre rift bosses.

well what i care is that jeson has ability to design some good skill tree but he still give wendy players a plate of scheiss and the reason is very perfunctory "wendy is strong" which makes wendy players really mad. besides, the shourd+grave digging line really makes me doubt if he really dont care some one dig his grave. there should be potion ability or new craft item to fill sisturn and get the buff, but he makes it a dark petal craft item which + materials from grave line cost totally 5 insight points...damn where did this stupid idea come from? thats 5 insight points, which could be enough to buff those weak potions one by one.

Glass rounds are definitely meant for daily use though considering they are aoe rounds and realistically the design space of these rounds and the changes made to the slingshot in general seems to suggest these are meant to be daily use upgrades to existing rounds.

You mean the rounds that only do something special if you're fighting several grouped-up enemies at once? Definitly useful for farming or dealing with Hound Waves and the like, but personally I'd only keep a stack or two on me and use the much stronger Gunpowder rounds for most enemies.

Probably a difference in playstyle I use it in a fair amount of fights like the ink trio, splumonkey, brightshades, shadow creatures, and some others while it's true all the shots won't hit unless your up against a more grouped up horde just getting the extra splash damage as you fight feels like it helps make the fights go faster.
