Whose idea was it adding those petal skills for Wendy? With flower regrowth and haunt transmutation, there's simply no point for those skills to exist. Honestly if you don't understand this just quit your job already, and give that job opportunity to someone with actual design skills and good understanding of game mechanics.

  • No one designs around ghost haunt as up until now its been unviable in single player
  • Wendy being able to inflict haunt was conceptualized after the petals skill was implemented
  • Grave beautifications provide a renewable source of evil petals, which are usable for flower shrouds & NF, but not a lot else.
  • regular petals were needed for sisturn and grave beautification, so the skill was designed to be a feedback loop to allow Wendy to gather both kinds of petals without resorting to farming butterflies and go out of her way to upkeep the sisturn & graves.

Balanced horribly and poorly communicated? Sure.

Telling someone to quit their job over it? That's not cool.

If it's just a mistake then sure, correct it and move on. However these design issues show up again and again, it's not just a mistake, it's (quite literally) a skill issue.

We've only just begun with this beta. it's literally only been 2 days minus the weekend. There's plenty of time to tweak things to make the players happy.
But being rude and insulting the devs will go nowhere, they will not take you seriously with such an attitude. Do you not like a certain perk and how it's designed? use constructive feedback, tell them how they could change it for the better. but going "this sucks" will not help at all.

This is why the beta exists. to give feedback, not showing us a full product but a product in the making. If you cannot handle that, if you cannot understand this type of concept. Then i suggest to not feature yourself in the beta at all and wait for the full product.

The thing is these obvious mistakes shouldn't have made into the beta in the first place, especially when they supposedly have more time to cook.

they do have more time to cook. in fact we are literally in the kitchen rn. this IS the cooking phase.

It is these "manners" that have tolerated the quality of DST's updates to decline over the past five years and to worsen this year. When developers in a supportive environment for too long, they may lose there judgment about quality of their work. May be better for Klei to hear more those strident objector voices.

Idk i think you're just not a fan of the game overall looking at your history with DST if 5 years just isn't cutting it for you.
The fact you're deliberately saying that insulting and belittling the devs is your go to for feedback says a lot of what you actually consider to be feedback. If you think this will have any sort of signifance to the game you are sorely mistaken and you will not be taken seriously at all other than ignorance.
 

Be humble, be respectful, be kind, provide constructive feedback & if need be.. “fair” but non-threatening, & insulting negative criticisms.

This does not mean to pitch a complete hissy and cry fire everyone and hire people who can do it better.

Although in some extreme cases (particularly when Klei bragged about hiring a group of people who’s only job was to improve the Quality of the game for controller users- Perhaps some of those people actually SHOULD be fired, as if they’re not putting out satisfactory results with the ONE Job they were assigned, then I hate to say this but Im not sure how much longer I can “Trust the Process” when everything seems to be Backwards Progress…?

And am not being Entitled Here… the Newer Craft UI was designed entirely with KB and Mouse controls in mind first and foremost while being more slow cumbersome on a controller.

Even putting Wendy’s very important and very frequently used summon, dismiss soothe and rule commands on a “Commands Prompt Wheel” just seems to be making it more difficult for players using a controller.

But I’m not going to say Blargggghhh Everyone should be fire!, no instead I’m going to ask politely for changes and provide my own suggestions as to how to implement them.

for example the camera zoom options which are currently unbound to any button actions but can be assigned in the settings menu, that… should probably have it’s own on screen icon like tabbing over to Wilson’s beard food storage or something.

Yes I’m disappointed in Wendys skill tree, but only because all characters prior to her (including Wolfgang and ESPECIALLY Wormwood and Wurt) continued to get tweaks and refinements even AFTER their skill tree was added, I’m also fair though…

If they feel X is overpowered, Nerf it justifiably… But also give me cool new toys and tools to play with that accommodates for that nerf.

Personally if you want my opinion I wish they’re Restore Wendys Downtime Without being able to use Abigail, (2-5 game days.)

This was a SERIOUS and quite impactful downside in the original DS, and I think that when they made her able to be summoned endlessly that’s where they stripped most of the skill that was required in learning the character away.

she can even get new and beautiful quotes such as “Alas Abigail is too weak to fight by my side right now, I shall carry on for the both of us until she’s rested.”

I fully support NERFS to my favorite character, so long as it means a better more fleshed out personality and new things she can do & interact with in exchange.

I'm not saying that they are valuable feedback.

I'm saying the prevalence of these rude comments today could be the result of developers not work to the satisfaction of DST's player base and not hearing valuable feedback over a period of time to make these people reached the level of dissatisfaction they have today.

If you don't allow people to express themselves in a way that matches their degree of satisfaction, then developers won't get the right sense of how degree of satisfaction they really get.

Klei said they felt like Wendy was pretty good as-is, and so they had to be careful with her skill tree. It's natural that with this, they would intentionally design her to have some filler skills.

I dont see good design suggestions from a lot of people who play a lot so..

In the Chinese community alone, dissatisfaction with klei has been going on for a year. This is an objective fact. This time Wendy’s skill tree is a flashpoint of dissatisfaction. klei needs to face up to this problem.This doesn't mean we don't love klei

While there's plenty of blame to be placed on the translators, which really can't deal with such a figurativeness-rich language translating both ways and hence making communications harder and prone to misunderstandings (Hell, I might have completely misunderstood what you were trying to say here, for all I know) for all of the recent newcomers, all you're doing is proving an admittedly rude statement ''right'' by replying in your own language, and hindering your own goals. Whilst I have empathy for your situation, as I am not a native English speaker either, and I understand the difficulty of communicating in a language that's not my own (I sure as hell didn't take just one crash course to learn it!), I also know better than to reply to comments I take issue with in Italian; surely you understand how quickly communications would break down this way... and when that's the case, what's the point of even using a forum? What can Klei even do with feedback consisting of bickering and threads whose very title is outright ''flaming''?
