Warly food spicing felt like a after thought

Recommended Posts

the food you spice does not get alter by the spice at all, there is really no difference from eating chili ice cream and chili powder cake.  This means that the only correct way to use spices is to just place it on powder cake.

sorta wish that spices should change food stats like salt does ( on the subject of salt, it should make food last twice as long)

what do you guys think?

I dont think is bad since carrying powder cakes takes space vs using spice in a food you will eat anyways

perhaps, but the spice food does not affact the original food in any way at and it feels weird

I think spicing foods on him is pretty great but it is extremely grindy and probably more worth for lategame or when you play him specifically. Otherwise I really wish we could spice more food than just one at the time because what annoys me the most is the time it takes to spice a stack. A stack of food that is used to get a buff will diminish really quickly. Cooking that food takes a while, spicing food takes a while, crafting spice takes a while and growing spice plants takes a long while. Too much effort for just a stack of spiced ratatouille for sugar crystals to mine ruins etc.

Bro I wish they will add something like that for him it’s so annoying to cook multiple foods at once

The seasoning structure should allow multiple units of dishes and spice even if it takes longer for the animation to finish..kinda like the furniture station craft multiple boards and cutstone with a longer animation

I disagree a bit that only powdercake is the only valid dish for spices. Yes, it’s optimal, but it’s not bad

I personally like spicing quite a few non powdercake items. Spiced volt goat chaud froid is a fairly obvious example, but lately I’ve been carrying a bunch of honey spiced glow berry mousse with me. The additional work speed combined with not needing a light is quite helpful in a lot of circumstances. I personally have ditched lanterns in favor of the mousse, and while sometimes I waste the extra work efficiency because I only needed the light, it’s not the end of the world.

The bin in particular helps a lot with making this more useful. Items spoiling much slower makes it far easier to reliably use non powdercake /jellybean dishes for spice buffs.

I do think the only issue is mass spicing can be quite boring. I don’t think it kills the spoilage (at least with an optimized setup I use to preserve freshness as much as possible), but it is quite slow. I personally would take something even as small as Warly harvesting from a crockpot/seasoning station twice as fast.
