Burrowing mobs and thin flooring

Recommended Posts

This is actually a suggestion I had meant to post during the beta, but it managed to become a partial feature before I could post it!

My original idea was that mobs that burrowing through the ground wouldn't be able to pass through thin or super hard floors.
So a mole couldn't dig through a thin ocean dock, or a worm wouldn't be able to slither around inside of a thin bridge.

Early on in the beta, the Great Depth Worm was able to pass over bridges, and they beat me to the idea by making it no longer the case!

Currently, I'm hoping this can also be applied to the regular worms, and other mobs that tunnel beneath the ground.
I love it, it's both sensical and makes for a fun dynamic where you can make somewhat safe zones! Also acts as a nifty, wall-less way of corralling mobs, too. ;}

what if they made worms jump over the gap lmao

I think i'd prefer if they would burrow over to the other side, and then pop out to say hi to the player, to let you know they moved. Also guard the entrance to the bride and not lose aggro, though this may not be possible I think mobs naturally lose aggro if they can't get you for a bit.
