Bone related crafts

Conversion to hounds teeth using Wilson will be the current best late game use for bone shards

Because we lack of teeth... and every player wants to waste inventory slot in such lame weapon

We need more crafts. Before made sense because there were little uses but now we got a lot of bone sources and no new recipes

I think we should have a body slot armor out of moonrock and bone-shards. Moonrock also doesn't have much use late-game. The recipe should be locked behind the ancient library.

We already have a bone themed armor tho. But i agree moon rock needs something.

I wouldn't mind having bone-themed decorations. They don't need a purpose. I just want to place them in every marbel / chess biome for fun. (I die enough to collect tons of boneshards from my own skeletons already, so I could at least use them for something even when I play without receipt-changing mods.

That's not even remotely true. If you want hounds teeth, you're better off starting even a small varg farm. You don't even get that many bone shards in game to begin with, even considering the drops from the worm king.

A little personal thoughts:

At Potter's Wheel, consume two Bone Shards and an item (especially those mods) to make a corresponding bone sculpture.

At Rock Den, two Bone shards and original materials were consumed to create a Critters sculpture.

A fence made of bones. Wood fences always like to burn, and that makes me look like an idiot who doesn't understand fire protection.

A flute made of bones.

Use a Moonlens, Bone Shards, and others to make a building like The Moon Dial, The Lazy Deserter, and Ocuvigil.

Make Grave so I can show off my skin.

Used in conjunction with the Iridescent Gem to make some kind of Amulet.

To make the Dock or bridge where Turfs can be placed.

A Chest Lock used to make a protective container.

A Crate made of bones?

Real pianos were once made out of bone, right?

Bone Javelin or Bone Throwing Knife.(?):juggling:

To make a thickener, so I can use it for my pudding with the Milky Whites.

Hear me out- Bone Furniture, Bone Armor, Bone Weapons, And Bone base decorations.

Yea it’s slightly morbid, but… it’s no more or less morbid than you’d find in Cult of the Lamb, or literally any caveman game you can ever play.

The Survivalists (a game similar to DST) also features “Bone” based crafts!

All morbid decorations for me. I mean it would bring back some of the gloomy tone from DS in contrast to the "cheerfulness" of DST.

Now I want this >( and terraform the places where I've died into cult altars to make offerings to shadow-creatures.

Should have added bone related decorations from Cult of the Lamb when they had the chance. That game had some neat decorations you could make out of bones.

I could probably mod in a few bone tools that serve as upgrades to gold tools.

Bone tools could have the property of being a tool that can be used as a weapon to differentiate itself from regular tools a bit. Not being as durable as golden tools but dealing as much (or more) damage as spears, could even be the case that they lose less durability from attacking.

You can get quite a lot from just hammering skeletons in the oasis and dragonfly desert. But once they're all hammered up, getting more is a bit annoying. Before the giant depth worm, you had like 2 options if you needed more: kill yourself a bunch or fish a lot so you can hammer rotten fish.
