Memetan
With the new boats, new bumpers and new stuff, is it safe now to make a train of boats with nautopilots? How? O_Atoba_Azul
It's safer but boat trains in general are super risk and limit you to take your time and go really slowly if you want them to stay intact. abrocator
If they don’t follow fast enough, can’t you (just) put more magnets on the boats? It’s been a while since I’ve tried. ShadowDuelist
Even if you go endgame boating with CK bumpers they will still hit each other and you will need to repair them all the time if you don't want them to get holes. Realistically, unless you are rushing CK over and over for a reason, you'll have a sea shells protected boat train for some time. Which you also will need to repair all the time. So to answer the question I guess you can? It's still not good enough probably. I'd rather have a bigger boat, or a way to have all boats stuck to each other so tight so their physics behave like having a big boat (maybe attached with dock kits? idk) The nautopilots are still cool and useful for those contraptions where they take you across areas on their own: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2ztdyR4piQ Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/158214-is-it-safe-now-to-make-boat-trains/#findComment-1734755 Share on other sites
ZeRoboButler
Would it be better if the magnets had a repelling feature when moving so as to not cause collisions? Like say the boats start to hurtle at one another but at a certain speed it would repel to reduce the possibility of crashing or damage caused. I wish that there was more control over that sort of thing since at the moment they seem too hard to use practically. It’s been a while since I’ve tried. I put 2 magnets and what i do is to have 1 active while, when i need more speed in follower boat, i activate the 2nd magnet and deactivated it when reaches enough distance The sad part about bootlegs is that they dropped the value of having cargo boats. You can simply load the main boat with seeds and go back to base in a wink Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/158214-is-it-safe-now-to-make-boat-trains/#findComment-1734913 Share on other sites
