Balloonomancy

B1 / Floaty hands: Balloon items take half the time to be crafted.
B2 / Twin balloons: When you craft a balloon there is a 25% chance for you to receive a second one of the same type.
B3 / Zoo: When held, animal shaped balloons have an effect related to their animal.

You need to unlock 2 Balloonomancy skills to unlock the next ones -

B4 / Silent running: Speedy Balloon gives 5% more speed and lasts 1 minute longer.
B5 / Balloon boat: You can drop an inflated vest on the water to create an extremely small and fragile Balloon boat.
B6 / Air head: Balloon hat has a slot which accepts hand slot Balloon items allowing you to have their effect in the head slot. (The slotted balloon will appear attached to the Balloon hat, floating over it. You can't stack two equal ballon effects this way, only one will count.)

- You need  to unlock 4 Balloonomancy skills to unlock Balloon mastery -

BM / Balloonomancy mastery: Balloon items cost less sanity to craft. You can now assemble a Mecha Balloon by equiping a speedy balloon, a balloon hat and a balloon vest at the same time. (I didn't decide an effect for the Mecha, probably something  flashy and silly)

Pantomime

(Only one Pantomime Gesture effect can be active at a time and they cost sanity to use)

P1 / Pantomime powers: Pile o' Balloons now gives you access to a Pantomime Gesture wheel. Learn the Sneaking gesture. (Sneaking makes Wes tiptoe reducing the range which enemies detect Wes, but also reducing his speed)

- You need  to unlock "Pantomime Powers" skill to unlock the next ones -

P2 / Imaginary feast: Wes can now gesture eating an invisible food after which his hunger drain is 25% slower.
P3 / Invisible book: Wes can now gesture reading an invisible book after which he receives -25% sanity drain from auras and 2 sanity per minute.

You need to unlock 2 Pantomime skills to unlock the next ones-

P4 / Living statue: Wes will stay still imitating a statue pose, enemies will lose interest on him after some seconds.
P5 / Invisible chair: Wes sits tightly on an invisible chair, he can't move but he also can't be knocked back.
P6 / Featherweight: Wes Pantomimes lifting heavy weight after which his damage is increased by 5.

You need to unlock 4 Pantomime skills to unlock  Pantomime Mastery -

PM / Pantomime mastery: Pantomime gestures have improved effects and they cost less sanity to use.

- You need to unlock 4 Mime Tools skills to unlock Mime Tools Mastery -

TM / Mime tools mastery: Invisible tools cost less sanity to craft and they have bonuses.

(Bonuses: Invisible Axe, Pickaxe and Hammer need less hits to do their job and can be used on hard materials. Invisible Shovel, Garden Hoe and Bugnet have faster use animation. Invisible oar is more potent than log oar. Invisible Saddle makes beefalo lose obedicience slower.)

Affinity

S / Shadow powered balloon: You can use nightmare fuel on an item turning it into a Shadow Ballon, right clicking this Balloon opens the map you can than choose a place for the Balloon to go, it will fly into the sky and land there. Popping the balloon retrivies the item.

L / Enlightening invisible walls: Wes learns the invisible walls gesture. Using it walls enemies in a medium area around him for few seconds. Wes also gets walled and he will be affected by lunacy while in this state. Costs a LOT of sanity. If enemies or wes receive damage the walls holding them instantly breaks.

Wes ≈ nightmare fuel, why not skills temporary madness and opportunitie attack Wes horrors other player? Wes very weak, i think, skills for craft new dark items they will be suitable. Why only balloons? Or fight balloons: balloons grenades (10 damage, 10 units staks, 2 day storage, 10 sanity for mading, area attack, can us other characters) or spell balloons-defends (give ignoring 1 attack, 5 sanity = 1 applying an ability to a single character, effect not staks, cooldown for 1 character = 5 seconds - after the decline of the effect not can giving its affect one more time). More imagination and assortment!

the mime tools are pretty cute, actually, not sure if they are worth it though, most of those tools are super easy to make under almost any circumstance so they'd be borderline useless at level one for anyone who isn't rushing or overburdened with stuff and pretty useless after a few days in the world.

Reading your comment reminded me that Wes is worse than other characters at using Axe, Pickaxe and Hammer - which really annoys me when I'm gathering materials - so I edited the post to make him better at using his own invisible tools when he has mastered them!

I like your ideas, although I do wish there were some skills the allowed him to use his unLucky nature to his advantage

Like for example, say he’s fighting an enemy in the caves a boulder falls above them, but he’s able to get out of the way and the border hurts the enemy instead

Also, I think it would be cool if Wes could bring his balloons to life or do something related to his triumphant/moonbound skins as alignments

This but it should be a VERY advanced skill in his tree, maybe :) To keep his challenging character trope

what about his (miniscule) extra attraction with hounds and lightning? i was always a bit let down with the fact that he can attract hounds more often but not by enough to make a practical difference, i also think it would be useful if the local wes could bring lightning down more often to charge up rods or wx directly if either are close enough
