pether
Is it possible for sublimation stations to sublime oxylite? If not, I believe they should do that, especially since new biome produces oxygen in a form of the oxylite harvests. Tzunki
My question would be why? Oxylite as debris only releases O2 if the pressure is low enough. you can simply place it on the ground or store it in a storage bin. pether
To sublime faster, I guess? Sure, it shouldn't be required to survive the new biome, but since we have the building why not use it? sakura_sk
Oxylite -> sublimation category Polluted dirt -> organic category Sublimation station requires only one of the two Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/157548-oxylite-in-sublimation-stations/#findComment-1729398 Share on other sites
suicide commando
Drat.. I missed this post and made the same post. The main reason is scaling. Oxylite debris sublimates rather slowly and getting all that O2 around your base can be tricky once it gets a little bigger. I just finished building a shipping rail through my main laddershaft which gets fed with the oxylite from below. Still it's a slow process to oxygenate your base with. The sublimation station would be ideal solution if it could use oxylite to make O2 as well as pDirt. NewWorldDan
With polluted dirt, sublimation station wastes 1/3 of the mass. Would people be willing to accept that level of waste on the precious oxylite? Oxylite off-gasses so quickly that putting it into 2 storage bins has been enough to handle a dozen dupes. The bigger problem is the tendency to overwrite CO2 when it sublimates, which was causing production problems for me until I could get the CO2 pressure over 1800g. Blu_Ni
I very VERY much vouch for the Sublimination Station to be turned into a crafting station building similar to the Bleach Stone Hopper. I sorely wish we could subliminate Bleach Stone, and this new DLC has me itching to subliminate Oxylite too.
