Copyafriend
grass tufts can become scarce in a world over time, thanks to grass geckos and accidents. so i think it would be nice if grass geckos could occasionally drop a grass tuft instead of a piece of grass when they shed their tails. pros: it provides a funny lore explanation for how grass geckos reproduce. it allows people to obtain more grass tufts in a world and feels like a pretty unobtrusive solution using what we already have in game to solve an (admittedly minor) problem cons: if people use grass geckos for grass, you now have undesired(?) tufts in your farm grass geckos need a pen or are tedious to chase but i think its overall a pretty good idea, lmk what ya'll think Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/156252-idea-for-grass-tuft-renewability/ Share on other sites
Jakepeng99
Add a plant crafting station. Linking it to wormwood skilltree is not good. Mike23Ua
I think that.. like Catcoon dens and mushroom rings now do, grass tufts should respawn over time in their natural biome habitats. I don’t feel like it should be anymore complex than that. Plant crafting i don't like, neither in nor out of WW Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/156252-idea-for-grass-tuft-renewability/#findComment-1715874 Share on other sites

Not the solution you are suggesting but what i do to prevent the spawn of gekkos is to only harvest gass with lureplants or the rift scythe. Also you can pen some grass near the grass you want to preserve because they only spawn if there arent more arround Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/156252-idea-for-grass-tuft-renewability/#findComment-1715876 Share on other sites

GimplyGoose
What if grass gators could be shaved like beefalo while sleeping to yield a grass tuft? They would probably need a funny sad shaved look too. Frosty_Mentos
Glass tufts could just simply respawn naturally during certain seasons... It's not that huge of a commodity to have around later on but it's more for decor like berry bushes. Cruvimaster
The current solution I adopt is not to let grass turn into Grass Gekko. Klei could even put a new grass seedling on Monkey Island (which has already been done with reeds). Wonz
I always fence the grass and park chester nearby, geckos have nowhere to run and will get scared of chester and drop grass so they will actually be good thing. My average base. On lord klei please the need/cost ratio for chests is crazy when you want to sort items.
