So it wouldnt be a new race, technically. Unless you mean a rate species all its own? Dunno why we can't have lizards, insects, birds, or even some kinda.... rock monster/plant/nature folks who "avoided" being corrupted and fight against their tainted "brethren" to reclaim the Rotwood. Who knows, could be something they'll consider?
