Yeah he wasn't in the constant that long ago.. he's literally just a coloniser and Hunter etc. How on earth could he possibly have been around that long ago or have made the clockworks..? Evidence of this can be seen in DST, where Charlie leaves her signature roses around on the map & wraps Maxwells Statues in her own rose & thorn vine bushes. And while we don’t have any actual canonical answers as to who created the clockworks, we can know that through Maxwells quote of inspecting a Tallbird that it was a “failed” experiment. mathem99 Posted October 5, 2023 Share Posted October 5, 2023 Now that we are discussing lore about the Ancient, Warbucks has a quote for the Slurtle that says: SLURTLE = "Curious, it's shell is an ancient helm!", Yes, it is grammatically incorrect, but the point is that the shells the Slurtles carry are Ancient Helmets! Does that mean that the Ancients had armor headgear made of material other than Thulecite? I always found this quote very fascinating. I don't know if it's canon anymore considering that Warbucks got snapped out of existence. (Gone, but not forgotten...)
