The Skill Tree strengthens the ValkyrieWigford's personalfighting abilities

Recommended Posts

After the update of the plane damage, the Valkyrie Vigerford also has a certain weakening, I hope the next update skill tree can be strengthened, Vigerford is a Valkyrie proficient in combat ah, personal ability should be very strong!!!

I literally don't understand what OP is trying to say. But in relations to wigfrid and her skill tree, I hope she gets craftable brightshade/void armor and spears, a throwable spear and maybe that's all. Inspiration tinkering might get a bit weird outside of duration perks.

I've always wondered what's with the fascination with throwable spears. While fitting for the character, if it's as cumbersome as Wolfgang's dumbell throwing, I can't see people using it over normal melee combat.

If I called the shots, I'd make it so it's much better than Wolfgang dumbbells, in function on par with the ease of blowdarts, but to balance it somewhat, have it interact with inspiration. however, the problem would be utility. If it consumes inspiration, it might be useless as you need to hit an enemy and if you're already in striking range, there's little need for there to throw a spear in the first place. Regardless, I still want it.

If much better means they fly at a similar speed and angle as darts, then that'd be great. However, I do think it shouldn't be bound with inspiration, as if it's like her songs and needs one notch to activate, it wouldn't see much use outside of boss fights. It seems better fit for hordes of monsters like spiders, hounds, or monkeys. I don't it'd be too imbalanced if you could toss em' whenever, especially when you need to pick em' up again once they hit the ground.

Throw spears to interrupt enemy attacks, this will be useful

That sounds like a fun idea. If the skill can be upgraded, I could definitely see something like that.

Spear Master I: Bestows the ability to throw your battle spears. Thrown spears deal 2x extra damage to enemies.

Spear Master II: Thrown spears push back and stun enemies for a short duration.

Spear Master III: Thrown spears will pierce multiple enemies.

He wants Wigfrid to get the boring +planar damage perks that Wolfgang has.

As a combat character, if there are no more attack and defense multipliers to strengthen, Wigfrid will need other benefits even more,

You have to admit that a high attack means less armor consumption, health recovery, shorter combat time, less combat preparation time, and lower combat risk

I could very well see a Throw Spear action working similarly to the Molten Darts' special, where it's a fast projectile that, like @CCCR33 suggested, interrupts enemy attacks. Would love to see something like that return to DST, as I miss using Woodie to aggro and interrupt mobs in Forge.

Valkyrie Vigerford is proficient in combat, hoping that the skill tree can give her higher damage, damage reduction, high damage recovery will be more, update a powerful exclusive weapon is also OK, more in line with her Valkyrie positioning, rather than the current helmet wholesaler!

The problem with ranged dst combat is you have to stop moving to shoot. Wanda's blowdarth quote about shooting it preferably while running away makes me think this is kinda unintended, I think that's how you make darts and Walter's slingshot a good weapon, not just a wall cheese tool.

Wigfrid gets more utility and team synergy with a throwable spear than any other character. She's combat oriented, but Wolfgang beats her in the most straightforward way. You can muddle up the argument with her other features, but when it comes to straight forward combat, Wolfgang is better.

As a team, I'd rather have a Wigfrid, but if you have a Wolfgang who knows what he's doing on a team, Wolfgang is superior.

Wigfrid with a throwable spear would still not make her any better than Wolfgang in straight forward combat, but it's a combat oriented skill.

In a team, if a boss is chasing an opponent on 1hp, Wigfrid comes in with the save and throws her spear to steal aggression.
She can also initiate combat a lot easier. The difference between ranged with Walter and the hypothetical Wigfrid is usually, when Walt hits a character with slingshot, it's usually followed with "What now?" whereas Wigfrid hitting a target with a spear would be followed with, "What dish will I make you into, honey ham or bacon and eggs?"

Stopping moving to shoot isn't really an issue in both of these scenarios. Mid fight in a 1v1 with a boss, there isn't much point to use range. Unless someone is really clever.

If the potential for high damage is considered for spear throwing, it would actually be nice to have a more *fair* dragonfly and bee queen solo.
