And considering only 1 per semester (focus on quality equal to WX), this only ends in 2029.

Not necessarily. They said there could be at least 2 characters per skill tree update going forward, not just 1. So there's a good chance they'll be done by next year.

i know wx skill tree turned out well but i really hope they go back to 2 per update. I think a lot of people burned out on WX over the course of the beta and 6 skill trees is going to take a very long time if its split into 6 updates especially if they want to look back on old trees

I just hope that part 2 comes before a skill tree. And that we get a boss as powerful and good as the one on the lunar side (Scion). And a reward as good as the Celestial Jewel. After that, you can put Webber and Warly together in the beta version.:D

I think they already said they are doing part 2 next.

I've kinda burned out on wx just grinding insight on him, way worse than any other character has.

The circuit scan grind is much worse than the other characters unique progress mechanics as it can take you away from normal progression goals for so insanely long just trying to scout out the caves for the good circuits early on.
I like fast scouting characters with obscure resource goals like walter, but WX takes this to an extreme that burns me out very heavily due to how much more extreme his grind is.

Honestly I'd be fine if we mixed a world content updates with a skill tree on the side, since genuinely it can be hard to get far enough in the game to test story content a lot of the time if you are trying to play socially in public worlds, but a character skill tree always gives you something new to try.

You can always just go into a new world you created with any character you want insight for and type c_skip("240") and get max insight on them.

I feel bad doing that, basically means I skipped the character strategizing part of them.

But for wx its like. Scan butterfly, scan rabbit, capture rabbit, absorb rabbit, use wormholes to go crazy scan then kill shadow creature with axe, go to caves get lightbulb find grotto scan bulbous lightbug or depth worm in muddy area day 1-2. Grind to bugnet as quick as possible and then I'm at like an hour of gameplay each solo run before I'm doing anything normal but even then I'm so setpiece dependent that I feel like I'm going crazy.

I'd definitely love if there were more ocean alternatives to some of the caves and boss content for WX's scanning since just being able to do something else more often would be a huge mental/emotional boon for playing them. Since like, I only remember the squids really providing a viable alternative to the undergrounds bounty there for 1 (just one) circuit.

Spoiler

Will the nightmare werepig return at the end of the shadow arc?

I hope that if he does return, his arc will end with his bones being taken over by a ancient fuelweaver after his death, through a possessed shadow atrium, and helping us complete some quests.

I actually want him to have an happy ending :wilson_cry: where he ends up being friendly like Auntie Pearl yk. Like yes sure we fought each other to death 2 times in a row and more than likely gonna fight once more(twice if you count second phase as another one) but then we're gonna end up best buds :yaypigs:cause if we don't after kicking his ASS THAT MUCH and he ends up DEAD  or worse POSSESSED I'm gonna hold a forum-wide memorial to mourn him😭

The final battle will have him embrace the powers of both the moon and the shadows at the same time and slowly get torn apart by the opposing energies as well as us as the fight goes on. When you beat his first phase, one of those sides wins out (depends on whichever planar-aligned weapon you used the most; lunar if you used lunar, shadow if you used shadow), or both do in an extra-difficult abominable hybrid if you didn't have a favored planar weapon type, and you get one of three possible final bosses.

Well given daywalkers story thus far has been us saving him repeatedly then him trying to beat us clearly he needs to save us followed by us barbecuing him. The flavor was unforgettable.

Now here's a hot topic, I saw a dream where there was a vampire and a witch character in don't starve elsewhere, the details are really fuzzy about their appearance  but basically the witch was creating sigils and putting them on items. The sigils she made by attuning them to an element or an entity( in my dream I saw her putting an ice sigil on an axe to cut down a fiery tree) she also pulled some kind of grimoire with an eye but the eye was weirdly colored and she summoned stuff through a circle.

The vampire is the least detailed cause at that part the dream cut short. Their hunger and hp instead of being seperate was both tied to this weird blood bar(its color would change randomly, maybe depending on what kind of blood they drank??? anyways) The main mechanic of them was that they would gain buffs from who or what they fed, and would gain permanent abilities/blueprints for the first drink on specific mobs/bosses. The dream ended with the vampire defeating a giant cyborg pig with a really weird looking scientist falling over its shoulder and they got a crafting recipe for a some kind of gothic steampunk blood distiller that operated with a weird looking gem

Should we realistically be expecting one in 1-2 weeks?

According to the release of the first part of the Warbot update, the second part of the "Cursed Confrontation" update will be released in late july or early August.image.png.677df543b8ed51de588614b6d1c354e3.png
