Personally, with all that occultic vibe COTL crossover brought, I think its just the right time to add craftable pig/merm heads on stick. Mike23Ua Posted August 23, 2023 Share Posted August 23, 2023 I think the reason we CANT craft them is they give Nightmare fuel if destroyed on a Full Moon, but if that’s the only reason.. then Klei should make them require Nightmare Fuel to craft. No matter how cheerful & family friendly Klei tries to turn dst into now, there are still some traces of dark humor in the game that aren’t meant for kids, I’m not talking about just heads on sticks that animate to life on full moons either, some character quotes can hit this territory too. We seem to forget that DST is a T for Teen rated game, so I think it’s quite fair to want to be able to craft slightly morbid heads on pikes. Not only because of the current Cult of the Lamb Crossover, but also because we are just 69 Days away from Halloween. Or in DST language- One Content update away from the Month of Spooky. I just think heads on sticks would be a nice addition for more "barbaric" based playtrough. Even recipe already exist in game, I think. Its the dropped materials of said heads on sticks but x2. Could have utility for keeping pigs at bay for Wurt/Wonkey and monster players, as well as allowing Wurt to keep her merms out of certain areas. Your idea to make heads on pikes craftable with Nightmare Fuel in DST makes sense given the game's dark humor and T for Teen rating. With Halloween approaching and the Cult of the Lamb crossover, suggesting a special Halloween-themed recipe for these decorations could be a great addition. Players could unlock it through in-game challenges, adding to the festive spirit during the Month of Spooky. Mike23Ua Posted September 7, 2023 Share Posted September 7, 2023 There’s 7 more Thursdays left until Halloween, and I’m going to go ahead and put in my request for the Hallowed Nights Update. I want to be able to craft Pig & Merm Heads on Sticks, As well as the bones/skulls that can be found in deserts until hammered and destroyed forever, I’d ALSO like to be able to finally craft my own tombstones (now that they have a lot of cool skins) And A more Gothic looking Sisturn. If all of this happened during the Hallowed Nights update, this would be wonderful.
