I really think the addition of skill trees for anyone other than Wilson sets and incredibly bad precedent in the game, for sure. It is Power Creep personified.

"Don't like the character right now? Wait for its new skill tree! Then maybe it will be better."

"Feel the character is now too strong? Well, wait for the other characters to get THEIR skill trees and they'll be better than that character again."

Yeah... Not an encouraging thought. What happened to taking a character for what they are and dealing with ALL of their perks and drawbacks as-is?

It's like Beefalo all over again.

Are you saying that pre-skill trees every character was in a perfectly balanced state, with perfectly made upsides and downsides and required no additional changes?

I can't believe this. In a game known for its DARK HUMOR, they introduced a character who constantly makes PUNS and says THIS when examining manure.

I can't believe Klei would do this to the franchise.......

My favorite is this one.

I'm saying that there will NEVER be a "fully balanced" state to this game, and it's kind of a fool's errand to try and make it that way. I think people should play characters they vibe with, not the character that has the latest shinies.

I think it's nice that it's getting tweaked and hopefully making the character more fun overall for his fans. I need to play him again to see how I feel on him as I played him way back in the old farm days.

But I also don't trust the power creep of it. His fans have pretty much went through every single skill and asked for buffs. I've even seen people speculate and say they are disappointed with what the new bramble vest perk will likely be. I'm not going to pretend to be a expert on balance, but I'm pretty sure Woodie's Lumberjack skills minus the Treeguard one (though the radius seems tiny, I had it fail once already) are all pretty weak as well as his Goose form's perks. I don't think every single one is supposed to be a home run perk or else shouldn't people be upset about slightly cheaper boards, weaker walking canes, weaker football helmets, and a random teleport?

Honestly my biggest gripe with this is Wormwood can now access both of his lunar paths but Woodie has to choose between curse masteries on top of choosing for alignments the latter is acceptable and makes sense but for the former it just never ever makes sense to choose anything but the moose unless the celestial portal is involved.

Honestly, I didn't even notice you had to choose a curse mastery despite mostly only playing Woodie since I got back into the game. Reason being that I don't find the Beaver's or Goose's perks that interesting or helpful. Haven't invested in either of them yet. I mostly only use Goose and Moose with a rare Beaver to mass mine, and I don't really need Goose pimped out especially with the perks in the tree since it's mostly just for me to explore a new area typically underground or the ocean. (which only has like 5ish things to hunt for)
