Woodie's Quick Picker Branch Isn't Worth Taking.

I'll start this off by saying I'm a big fan of almost every bit of Woodie's skill tree. The stuff for his were-forms is great, I particularly love the charge cancelling the moose gets and the Lucy wood crafting stuff, and yeah. There's just one thing: I can't see myself or anyone else ever taking Quick Picker.

All it does is make you pick plants faster. Is that fitting for a woodsman? Sure, but it's just so minimal of a thing that it's not worth taking over, say, something that buffs a were-form, early-game budget walking canes, earthquake-resistant budget football helmets, or extra damage against Treeguards and the ability to summon them. It saves you a bit of time, sure, but that's it, and it's not even something you'll be using constantly (since any base worth its salt has enough saplings and tufts to get you at least a stack of each per harvest). 

My proposal? Make its third tier a tier one perk in a new branch that replaces the Quick Picker one and call it Forestry, replacing it much like some of Wormwood's perks were replaced. Quick Picker 3's speed to picking becomes Forestry I. Forestry II lets you get an extra log or two when chopping a fully grown tree as normal Woodie, since he's a skilled lumberjack and could more efficiently process a tree into usable wood. Forestry III gives you an additional tree seed (pine cone/palm cone/birchnut) when harvesting a fully grown tree, since a good lumberjack knows replanting is important (as Woodie's examination lines for tree seeds imply). That'd make it more of a choice between buffing your werebeaver for wood harvesting (which'd be faster and not require a shovel) or buffing Woodie for wood harvesting (which'd get you more wood, but you'd need a shovel for the stumps and you'll have to deal with Treeguards).

I think combine the picker skils into one skill and add new ones like what they did with worm.

Let goose do some wing flapping to form little weather pain tornadoes that don't destroy stuff but suck items in to stack them together and harvest crops, sapplings, grass, berries etc.

I wish that perk applied to a bit more things - maybe quicker picking logs, maybe digging up plants... just more things. Also I find weak part where you need to spent three point to get it feel... like proper. To me is just too expensive.

i think you're right

the quick picker perks are a waste of space and points 

and replacing all 3 quick picker perks with one is a great move and adding 2 abilitys or quality of life perks will be an excellent opportunity to take before the update drop 

and like you said woodie is an expert lumberjack so he should have a few perks that revolves around trees like having a perk that if you cut a tree with normal woodie you will have a small chance of getting a random tree seed or a plant seed from the tree

or have a perks that gives woodie the ability to shake a tree and have a random item drop like a stick / grass / stone / bird / tree seed / an egg / poop from a bird LOL / or if you shake a berch tree a raccoon will drop instead of the bird 

and the more rarer the item is the smaller the chance is and every time you shake a tree you will lose hunger and a little sanity to make things balanced 

i think this is a nice touch for woodie instead of picking grass and sticks a second faster

I've used the fast picking mod for like 2 years now. So this just makes it baseline for Woodie only. That in its own right makes it a worthy pick imo, even if it sucks up 3 skill points. It makes the time to harvest your sapling / grass farms take half as long, it really adds up over the course of the game (hence why I use it as a mod, sure it doesn't actually do anything but it is a major QoL and I was really happy to see it included with Woodie.) Granted I think being able to have 0 points spent into curses would be great. I liked when the curse was an actual downside back in Don't Starve solo. Now it is his gimmick which saddened me since his refresh.

To be honest, it's the Lumberjack skill I like the most, and it's still very meh. I suggested that Quick Picker 3 should also give you a 30% chance of an extra item that you collected, 1 more twig, 1 more grass, 1 more berry will not hurt. That or change it to be 70% faster instead the actual 45%.
