Hot take on celestial portal

Celestial portal should have had a minimum cooldown per player after use (Eg 35 days) with optional settings in the world menu to make the cooldown shorter, non existent, longer or just disable it. But it didn’t happen when introduced and to have a vanilla imposed cooldown it’s probably too late now.

On the other hand the world settings could still be a thing and I’d really appreciate them. It would help people like me.

In one of my shared worlds we have people that switch characters like every 5 days and eat all our purple gems, and whenever I need to make a change after a looong time of gameplay, there are no more idols to obtain or craft forcing me to wait for DF to respawn.

I’d personally enjoy to put some cooldown in that world, without having to resort to mods.

So, the only reason I choose not to fight @Evelo on this one is because in his original argument, he wanted the accessibility of CP to be a worldgen setting. That is to say, not remove it from the game, but just make it so players can't build it if its disabled for that world. Though I fundamentally disagree on it, I could see why a host might want to prevent other players within their server from using the mechanic.
