This is the perfect time for Winona to get a nice buff, so yeah, I chose her.

I agree Winona would be a good option, they do have a good role as of right now but that does not change the fact that they are not as popular as the others from their rather bland playstyle. They would be my choice for a rework after Wx-78(my main) and Webber another character I play a lot.

Definitely Walter, Willow, and Winona for me as now that Woodie's been fixed they're the main ones lagging behind the rest of the cast.

By the way I've been thinking about this lately and I know it's extremely unlikely but I wonder how people would feel if instead of ending this beta soon considering the very minimal changes it got we could instead just add three more characters alongside the current three in beta.

What I mean is every two weeks or so they could add three more characters and then make balance changes based on those three I know it would kind of suck for console players but on the flip side we could strike a much better balance this time around and hopefully prevent a third wave of character refreshes.

I mostly agree with these statements (my main basis aside) I really want Winona, Willow, and Warly to get the trees next. I also think though that they should complete every character skill tree in the beta before releasing them officially. As that way they could edit and tweak all character skill trees at the same time to make sure they are relatively balanced with one another along with just being nicer in my opinion.

I vote against Willow being the next. She needs more care and attention to her rework sequel than any other character and rushing her might not yield the best results.

Why do you feel this way may I ask? I personally feel that hers would be one of the easier ones.

She was the first rework. But before that, her changes from single player to DST has been a drastic one. Her very nature in single player was to sabotage everything you've built if you risk having low sanity, as she lit random fires in single player while insane.
This wasn't something conducive to a game where cooperation was a central goal.

I don't main willow, so my knowledge is pretty shallow, so bear with me

- At one point, she only had a partial fire resistance that bordered on negligible before she received the full immunity, which begs the question as to why she had lost it in the first place from single player to together

- She also had a "downside" where her body temperature dropped as her sanity did, sometimes causing her to freeze to death in the summer, the freezing aspect that was a pretty creative compromise from single player to multiplayer, some even using the mechanic to cool down during summer by nominally dropping their sanity.

- Bernie turning into the incredible hulk was a pretty drastic change too, and the fact that enlightenment and it's current role where everything stands makes him useless in crucial parts of the game.

- The weakness to being physically frozen being added into her rework and how that fits in with one of the bosses whose gimmick is to freeze you indefinitely, which I admit is a moot point as getting frozen longer than indefinitely is a bit of a fallacy in and of itself.

Her rework in the first place brought forth some unprecedented changes in her gameplay in general, and new features added into the game punished her specifically for her interaction with the sanity mechanic.

That's probably the main concern I have with her development. Is her interaction with sanity and it's something that should be taken into consideration.

PVP balancing was the reason I hear same with why should lost her inventory burning ability(I miss it)

Honestly I'm fine with him not working under enlightenment what annoys me is that he doesn't fight back if your under attack by shadow creatures the thing he's designed for only while your insane so you can very much be under attack by shadow creatures and he's just sitting there watching you die. That and not being able to control when he changes back to small bear aside from raising your sanity.

I don't think they're going to not continue with the skill trees now, but if I am to look on the Brightside it's about time Winona and Willow finally get their much needed touch-ups.

So yeah. Maybe this time the fire lady could become fire-based!

Willow's rework was actually the 2nd one. 1st rework was Winona's(iirc it was somewhere in March). Speaking of, both characters could use quite a bunch of changes, tweaks and additions with their trees.

Walter, Willow and Winona are my top picks for the next set of skill trees.

Dont mind me... just gonna link my Walter skill tree suggestion topic here cause i think i have some good ideas for Walter and wanna make sure Klei reads them!:wilsoalmostangelic:

I'll eventually accept the inevitable. Just a really tough pill for me to swallow. It is good to look on the "Brightshade" of things.

Maxwell. He’s already great so I want the worse characters to have better perks.

Some of the early character reworks were not good. However Maxwell was second to last…

Maxwell was where they kinda went balancing is it something tasty? No? Then I don't want it.
